It really all hinges on those first four games. Win and build the momentum of a freight train lose and risk the wheels coming off. So let's win baby!
I just don't understand what the outcome that JD#'s camp wanted or expected in this. Even this had been some unknown school. Bully a school and player to change a jersey? Get some NIL money post college for an already highly paid NFL QB at the expense of looking profoundly greedy? I just don't see the reasoning here at all beside some ego trip started by what we all are assuming is his mom.

Then read 23:36 and remember it was a failed doomsday prophecy long before today.
Atheist, pre-heartbeat abortion supporter here. This is disgusting, cruel, and a large part why I generally vote right leaning despite not being a traditional conservative. I would rather outlaw this practice and have more strict abortion laws than go this way.

Humans are not like most animals in that we complete much more brain development in the womb than many other mammals. This would be akin to pulling a week old bunny out of its burrow to watch it die which I think anyone could agree is cruel to do.

When fighting this I implore you to reach out to others like me where we don't agree with the life at conception that you do because we don't have your religious views but we do believe in responsibility and the value of all life not just humans.

While I would call myself pro-choice I believe a choice has the defining trait of responsibility otherwise it is just a whim. If you are going to be sexually active then you must take proper responsibility for that and use BC, Condoms, pair with responsible partners, and take action to identify potential pregnancy early. I generally am ok with pre-heartbeat abortions because it seems like a clear sign of life that has little gray area but beyond that we have a responsibility to foster and protect life.
This guy is actually executing on the stupid ideas the far left thinks no one ever thought of. This is the culmination of their thinking which at its core is that they are so much smarter than everyone and any failure of their plans is someone else's fault. This is likely to go seriously bad, yet they won't look inward. Instead they will find some way to blame someone else.

They legit think no one has thought of government run childcare or grocery stores before. They are going to soon find why just throwing tax dollars at problems does not lead to those problems being solved.
Once cigarettes were available in easily accessible vending machines we did away with them and inconveniently forced adults to go to a store with a clerk to verify their age for the safety of kids.

This is a similar move at some point we have to prioritize our children's welbeing over all the uninhibited conveniences of the Internet and social media. Its easy enough to not use social media if you are that worried about your anonymity however our kids are being targeted and it is not easy as parents to keep them away from it when all a kid has to do is get internet access and click a box that they are over the age of 13.

I expect it to get really difficult as more and more of their friends get smart watches, phones, and social media, but we plan to hold firm on limiting devices and social media.

Yep my daughter is turning 9 this year, and we are just beginning the navigation of this craziness. We have no intention of allowing her a smart phone or social media p for many years but last year allowed her a tablet with keyboard to allow her to use for school and learning apps. Almost immediately the questions started coming about various apps that were available. We gave in on streaming apps for movies but have not given in on games. We drew a clear no screen time Sunday through Thursday rule but immediately had to deal with a teacher because of it as the teacher was giving rewards to student for completing zearn lessons during the week which was making my daughter feel left out. I have been horrified talking to other parents and learning how much freedom some of these kids have with tablets, and smartphones. I feel like I am the crazy person when I talk to some of these parents and tell them our daughter won't be having a smartphone till she is nearly graduating highschool
Just finishing this book. Should be required reading for parents, teachers, and frankly everyone in today's world. Conceptually a lot of it boils down to what we already know which is that social media and overly protecting our kids from real experiences is causing very real problems with childhood development, but goes deeper than that and points to the mid 80s as the real start to the trend with moderntechnology only being a tool that exacerbated the core issue. It also provides societal solutions.

I think this is closer than the experts think because we'll make some stupid mistakes on offense with all new players in an all new system.

I keep seeing this sentiment. While this team definitely has some growing pains ahead of it so does Clemson with a new QB. LSU is at home and as long as LSU gets the run game going which I would expect to be the case with a Kiffin offense it is going to be a long night for Clemson.

I'm expecting a 250 yard+ rushing performance that gains first down after first down bolstering a 4td offensive showing that keeps Clemson sidelined and in search of momentum that they never capture. I don't know that I would predict an absolute bloodbath but also don't expect Clemson to be in the lead at any point outside of the first quarter with LSU staying ahead by a touchdown or more after the half.
When they hired back Chad Morris and only used the portal to fill emergency level critical needs it was obvious that Dabo is going all in on his holier than thou "my way or no way" philosophy.

While it wouldn't be shocking if this game is tougher than expected with Dabo's resistance to change it's hard to see a scenario where they are improved enough to win. On the other hand when you look at LSU's changes it's easy to see a scenario where we dominate.
I mean if she was the best candidate, the call is easy to follow, and the voice is good then what's the problem. She has years of experience doing play by play for WNBA basketball and ties to Washington as a sideline reporter.
Every decision about a movie should be as simple as "does this casting, scene, effect, etc make this movie better?" Yes: add it. No: don't add it. Hitting checkboxes for the sake of hitting them always feels forced and makes that part of a movie pull audiences out of the illusion. Whether it's gratuitous sex scenes that don't fit the movie, overly graphic scenes that don't fit the movie, casting choices that don't fit the movie, or stories that ruin established franchises, audiences are tired of it and tired of being told they are the problem for not liking it.
2017 Auburn for me. Was at a funeral the night before and we got to the game late just about midway into the second quarter. As we were finally getting to our seats there was a group next to us talking about leaving already with a small group of Auburn fans lightly heckling them and it was a very down vibe. All of a sudden Chark? broke off the run and we scored after. Ended up being a fun game as everyone knows and we left the stadium "consoling" the Auburn fans.
I have a really good feeling about this game and look forward to the inevitable downward spiral that this game puts Ole Miss on. Ole Miss never holds a lead in the second half and the Fighting Tigers pull away by more than 10 late as Ole Miss implodes under the pressure they have created for themselves leading up to the game.
Unless they turn this around I imagine no job or process is safe in Jay's eyes. Not saying a coaching change will be made but Jay is being as vocal as coach gets about making changes, and Jay's actions are typically more pronounced than his talk.
The divide between sides is tough enough to fix but even if everyone tomorrow suddenly agreed on the country's direction how do we fix the legal foundations of everything from environmental regulations that reward those that have the means to navigate it and not those that have the best ideas or a prison system that allows violent criminals to walk free while filling cells with non-violent offenders that would have served society better with thousands of hours of community service fines and jobs that allow them to pay taxes.

This is not an exhaustive list of the issues obviously and just scratches the surface but I legit have no real answer and would like to see those that do have a discussion.
The "journal"

quote:

The association's Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons (JP&S) was previously named the Medical Sentinel from 1996 to 2003 and masquerades as a legitimate scientific journal. It is not listed in academic literature databases such as MEDLINE, PubMed, or the Web of Science. The quality and scientific validity of articles published in the journal have been criticized by medical experts, and some of the viewpoints advocated by AAPS are rejected by other scientists and medical groups.[67] The U.S. National Library of Medicine declined repeated requests from AAPS to index the journal, citing unspecified concerns.[67]

As of September 2016, JP&S was listed on Beall's List of potential or probable predatory open-access journals.[68] Quackwatch lists JP&S as an untrustworthy, non-recommended periodical.[69] An editorial in Chemical & Engineering News described the journal as a "purveyor of utter nonsense."[70] Investigative journalist Brian Deer wrote that the journal is the "house magazine of a right-wing American fringe group [AAPS]" and "is barely credible as an independent forum."[71] Writing in The Guardian, science columnist Ben Goldacre described the journal as the "in-house magazine of a rightwing US pressure group well known for polemics on homosexuality, abortion and vaccines."[72]

Publishing of scientifically discredited claims
Articles and commentaries published in the journal have argued a number of scientifically discredited claims,[67] including:

That human activity has not contributed to climate change, and that global warming will be beneficial and thus is not a cause for concern.[73][74]
That HIV does not cause AIDS.[75]
That there is a link between abortion and the risk of breast cancer.[8]
That there are possible links between autism and vaccinations.[8]
That government efforts to encourage smoking cessation and emphasize the addictive nature of nicotine are misguided.[76] In the fall of 2009, economist Michael Marlow published an article in AAPS' journal arguing that tobacco tax would decrease public health when people "switch to higher tar and nicotine brands as they smoke less."[7
