That's what I did, I refused to leave until after the alma mater. I didn't get back to Hammond until 12:30, then had to drive back to Georgia the next day.

This is from a 20 year old. What has happened?

Not me. I stay until the end even if we are getting our arse kicked. For example, Bama game last year when it was fricking shitty weather too. I’m talking about a 1/3 of the crowd now. If traffic got fixed, which it can’t. Everyone would always stay

My family member who is a die hard lsu football fan left the game at halftime(lol bc of traffic). I don’t understand it
I don’t understand it either. Why even bother with the racket of going to the game if you’re going to leave at halftime anyways. You end missing seeing a chunk of the game in the process too. Makes no sense. Might as well just stay at home or at your tailgate and watch it on tv

The game Saturday was almost 4 hours long.
4 hrs.
4 hrs.

The atmosphere isn’t the same day or night

This shite is being talked about because of South Carolina fans saying they were disappointed in the atmosphere. That was barely ever a game. Go ask them about the 2012 game when they were #3 in the country and they had 200 yards to our 400. Insanely Loud.
Meh, while USCe fans are delusional, some of you have to come to grips with the fact that other than 2 games a year, LSU’s atmosphere is highly overrated. Whether it’s the traffic, people wanting to pass out early after drinking all day (these 2 things have always been an issue btw), it’s just not as intense as people think it is, other than one maybe two games a year.

It doesn’t matter when the game starts. Fans still pour out a halftime.

I’ve always preferred a 2:30 start, night games are overrated unless I’m watching at home.

I want the games to be at night. I have too much stuff going on that morning, that I am not able to get on the road until the afternoon.
I don't plan a Sunday on a LSU home game. That is a morning of rest followed by cleanup and prep for the week. I go to church in the evening.
There must be a lot of people out there without that mindset. If you have to leave early to be prepared for an event on Sunday, then you should have just sat that one out.
I think if the game was fun and competitive scoring points back and forth, very few would leave. It was an ugly game and frustrating to watch. People left early in disgust.

People would stay if the experience was better. Last weekend I went to another team's home game. It wasn't televised, so there were no TV timeouts. The stadium held 67K. The seats were filled but there were not so many people that doing anything or going anywhere was a hassle. They did have music pumped in, but it was music that the whole crowd recognized and enjoyed (it wasn't rap music). I did not drive, but the traffic did not appear to so bad that one would alter their day to deal with it. Overall, an accessable and easy day of football. Also, there were no shootouts.

I didn’t harass CBS cameramen for 4 years to see us now as for day games.

We always stay until 0:00. The traffic solution is tailgate after the game for 45 minutes and traffic isn't so bad. Of course, some of you can't do that because you can't tailgate without getting intoxicated. There will be traffic whether you wait until the end of the game or you are stuck in it listening to the end of the game on the radio.

They will also pour out regardless of the situation in the game. I was at the bama game when we won it OT and I couldn’t believe how many people left for OT. There was still a ton in the stadium, but there was a line of people at every exit trying to get out.

Not to mention in this scenario you aren’t obligated to tailgate for like 8 hours before the game even starts
Obligated to do some fun drinking, eating, hanging out, watching games?! Oh no!

The fans were here when: We had two uniforms
That has nothing to do with it. Maybe your other points do, but I think most people that aren’t boomers roll their eyes at this. And for the big night games at home we have one uniform. Stadium wasn’t full Saturday-guess what unis we wore? I doubt any less would be there if we wore all whites.
ETA: and what’s with the “two” uniforms anyway? We should just have the one.

And no, I’m not some old boomer bitching.
Boomers don't gripe about night games in Tiger Stadium, just the commercials that make it last 4 hours, and the horrific traffic after the games

No one is obligated to tailgate at all. Grow a pair and be your own man.
I'm looking at these two things and can't figure out how they go together since the first seems to indicate you are gay.

The TV timeouts kill any energy and flow of the game. That has far more to do with it than kickoff time.
