I Found Something in LSU’s Last Two Games…

I’m not sure some of y’all are ready for this, but we might have been completely wrong about one of the biggest excuses in LSU football.
And the numbers are almost laughable.
For YEARS we’ve been told LSU can’t play at 11 AM. Too early, no atmosphere, players aren’t awake, blah blah blah.
Well, apparently Lane Kiffin didn’t get that memo.
Mississippi State: 31-0
Auburn: 38-17
Now look at this:
* 69-17 combined score
* 929 yards of offense
* 57 first downs
* 11 sacks
* Leavitt: 76% passing, 7 TDs, ZERO picks
A ranked SEC shutout followed by 550 yards and 38 points on the road at Auburn.
And all before most of us finished lunch.
I love Death Valley at night as much as anybody, but maybe we’ve been blaming 11 AM kickoffs for bad football all these years.
Two games. Two SEC wins. 69-17.
Funny how the same 11 AM kickoff that used to be an excuse suddenly isn’t a problem anymore.
Turns out the clock wasn’t the problem. Maybe it was the guy holding the headset.

You wear a headset. You hold a playsheet.

Blame Jefferson Pilot for it.

The Auburn game was on the road. Pretty sure everyone knows playing early on the road is better than at night.
Mississippi state we just destroyed. they were missing qb too.
I'd rather play a home game vs a big opponent at night because the stadium is louder

Ngl, the morning/daytime away games are awesome this time of year. Game is over and you still have a full day of perfect weather to enjoy.

I think I read that they practice in the mornings so they are comfortable playing early.

Dude stating some of the most obvious shite and acting like he finally found the G spot

This is a very good team. And that is the most important thing.
However, there is a home crowd advantage. I am a newer tiger fan, but the environment at night in tiger stadium is way more electric than the 11 am time. The loudness is at a different level.
Lsu is a storied program in the NCAA books. There is no doubt a great team is a large measure for that success. However I am not going to dismiss the advantages of tiger stadium at night.
It is one of the reasons why LSU is so powerful. People feel that energy at a night game. It can change people. From someone who doesn't really care into an LSU fan.
This energy has been doing this for decades and many touch and powerful people have undone that transformation. So the nil money flows.
These things get on themselves no doubt.
But never dismiss what a night game at tiger stadium has done for this program.

Night games are for getting the fans “in the spirit”, and it’s part of the reason Tiger Stadium has a tough reputation.
Players will play at whatever time the game is scheduled. Kiffin would tell you he’d love to start games at the same time they typically start practices.
The stats look better because the team is improving over time, which is awesome.

Yeah, this read like a total AI chat, booooeux

I’m leaning towards the reason for the quality 11 am play, is due largely to this coaching staff and system.
Previous staffs handled prep and practice differently. They allowed players to go out at night on Fridays before games.
Lane is just different.

Absolutely.
It would never happen with TV, etc. but the ideal schedule for all games would be
September 7 PM
October 5 PM
November 3 PM
Enough time for tailgating and second half would always be after sunset.

I would rather all away games be at 11

As a fan, I’ve always said I hate 11am games. But the last two weeks have been really great. Knock out a blowout win early, then settle in to watch a stress free afternoon/evening of CFB carnage.

Kiffin specifically trained them for morning games. He covers all details. We got a winner coach in his prime.

Lol yeah AI'S cadence is easily detectable now.
And what's worse? The people who use it to make comments on here have no idea whatsoever of how obvious it is.
Not a little idea.
Not a lot of idea.
No. Idea. Whatsoever.
Consider this - OP went to ChatGPT to help tell him what is so obvious to the rest of us. And he felt confident enough to make a post.
Let that sink in.
