You can’t put the band in the upper deck. 2000 of their ticket allotment have to be in the lower bowl. It was different back then bc it wasn’t a conference game.

I was thinking about this the other day. Really hoping our fans don’t sellout but my expectations are low. Seeing UT invade Michigan immediately came to mind.
I truly don’t understand the point of having season tickets and selling for the most important matchups.

I beg to differ . The LSU alumni in Los Angeles out spent the Texas alumni easily. Bart, who owned the sports bar where LSU and Texas viewed the games said 50 LSU fans would outspend 200 Texas fans. We (LSU) got the best spot in the bar to view the games because of this. That bar was Mr. Pockets. Unfortunately Pockets closed several years ago . It was a great place to watch games. They may have more wealthy alums, but when it comes to what the average fan spends, there aren’t many schools that can hang with LSU. That’s a fact !!!
So your reasoning that LSU fans ared better off is that we drink more than UT fans in one specific bar in LA? Well I saw more UT fans at the TGI Fridays in Gary Indiana, how do you explain that?

You are missing the fact that LSU fans are jacked this year with Kiffin.
If LSU is still in playoff contention by the UT game LSU fans will show up and not sell out!!

I'm looking for them to rival what Georgia brought here in 2018 and go home like GA did in 2018....

They have a national fan base like Notre Dame, Ohio State and Miami. I expect a lot of UT fans to make the trip.

They’ll buy every ticket that’s hits market. I’d say there 30K potential buyers easily

It borders Louisiana and they have over 625,000 alums
There will be plenty

I love your optimism but You are missing the fact that people love money. Similar to when Dallas plays in the dome, season ticket holders know they can get most, if not all, of thier season tickets paid for by selling this one game. I hope you are right but be prepared for a lot of orange.

If we don’t stick their band in the furthest corner of the east upper I’m gonna be disappointed.

I always leave Sugar Land at 7am on Friday (to try to beat the worst River bridge traffic)... I would be honored to close and lock the gate on I-10 at the Sabine River to keep thise entitled Tsip fans home. I don't want to share I-10 with them!!

No Texas fan alive has been to tigers stadium? Lmao
Maybe to see Garth Brooks

We probably had 25-30k fans in Austin for the 2019 game, but only got about 8-10k in the stadium. They did a pretty good job keeping us out of the actual game considering how many were in town for it, so hopefully that's the case here too.

Hope we can show them the same type of hospitality they showed us.

Put their band on top the PMAC.
I was thinking CEBA but I'll allow this

As someone else pointed out, probably can’t now because it’s a conference game. I’m still shutting off the ac in their locker room and I’d go old school and make the team busses drive down the hill.

So I’m gonna hook up with a Texas chick

It was one example. When LSU played Washington in Seattle, we were talked about by the locals for several years. My brother was in Seattle 3 years after that game, and he was wearing his LSU hat, and several people commented about all the LSU people eating and drinking the town dry. You must live under a rock if you are pretending LSU fans don’t spend more $’s than the average fan. Look at what happens when LSU makes it to Omaha. Against, we are talking about the average fan. The sports bar was only an example, which happened to have both fan bases we were talking about.

This will be the deciding factor. If LSU is still in the hunt, then most fans will go. If LSU has a few losses, then most fans will look to salvage some of their season ticket costs.
Nonetheless, I expect a ton of Texas fans here for the game. Bordering state, huge fan base, marquee matchup.
