I didn’t mean it as “ole Miss fans should love lane kiffin”. I understand the animosity. I’m just talking about the Manning’s not even being around the program during a historical stretch because of the coach who got them there.
I am glad you said this, because as an outsider it really cracks me up thinking about the Manning’s hating Lane Kiffin like they do.

My uncle had dinner with skip Bertman back in the day and he talked all the time about how much Saban cucked and pushed around any LSU donor he wanted-especially on the flights from games. However, no one cared because he won big.

I understand Kiffin is polarizing at best but from the outside it feels short sited to hate the guy after the unprecedented success.
How do we feel about holding on to Harlem Berry? Seems like both LSU and Ole Miss feel confident Berry will be at their school next season. My gut says he stays but Ole Miss might make a ridiculous offer if we bring in Kewan.
What I find funny is that Ole Miss in hindsight finds Lane’s marketing tactics tacky, but no one paid attention or gave a shite about the program before his arrival. Interesting how quickly revisionist history sets in.

Bro…first thing that jumped out to me regarding the game was mistaking Elko for a feral hog. He needs to get the weight issue together. I don’t trust people that fat either.

I don’t totally understand why but it felt like LSU quit the entire second half of that game.
Honestly I really like our Carolina hire more. Aggies complained Elijah signed the best but were poorly developed. Lucas is a great recruiter that has guys put up monster numbers.

I think both schools will be very happy with their hires.
How do you know what Stewart wants or doesn’t want? I would imagine LSU likes their chances.
Lane is going to make us top 5 if he stays for a decade :pimp:
It’s actually very strange how average Florida’s tradition is with the resources and alumni base. Outside of spurrier and Meyer holy shite
I was going to jump in and say I bet Curne ends up at Ole Miss. Y’all were runner up in high school if I remember correctly. Curne might be the only OL I wanted to stay  shite. Also Arkansas fans have been whispering he might go back home, curious if they have their NIL affairs in order.
I always feel like the reality of the situation is somewhere in between what the two fan bases like to think

Louisiana has a ton of talent that LSU forgoes that go to major schools and Frank may very well clean up, but I’m not worried about the top tier guys.

I’ve also listened to some ole miss podcasts and they are under the impression Lane offered Frank nothing. Lane offered Frank an admin role, something he actually thrives in. But Frank wanted a position coach title and the drama started. Frank is an awful RB coach and completely agree with Lane not giving him that title.

TLDR Frank is overall a good hire but he’s not as elite as ole miss thinks nor is he as useless as LSU wants to believe
This schedule is actually worse than usual it seems. Hopefully this is a one time deal.

Frustrating how unwatchable the month of December is for the LSU men and women. Just wake me up in January.
People complain about the women’s schedule all the time.
I will give it another shot. The first two episodes really lost me, but after rewatching Mad Men I am going to be in the wilderness
Not worried about Frank but really wish we’d have found a way to keep Austin Thomas. Thomas helps team’s across LSU’s athletic department and has great vision and fundraising ability.

Thought it was pretty telling Texas passed on Frank. Jabar Juluke is an even more bizarre hire imo. In the end I think Frank gives Ole Miss a nice pipeline with the secondary SEC talent LSU has passed on over the years…has both proven to be correct and bitten LSU in the arse too.

Excellent post. I have been way quieter about scrutinizing McMahon until we play a few conference games, but finger wagging because we beat SMU is fricking pathetic.

10-8 would get LSU into the tournament, so McMahon absolutely comes back
