We already accomplished the feat that everyone is celebrating *making it to Omaha*
No need to temper expectations, we already accomplished that goal. Anything from here on is gravy on top. We get Arkansas next, the highest seeded team remaining. I think everyone is aware that it’ll be tougher next week…

I’ll never understand the “pump the brakes” and “we need to focus” posts lecturing fans, who have absolutely nothing to do with the product that will be on the field, about their mentality approaching a game. Is it just attention yall want?

I am hoping maybe Shores will make an impact similar to Thatcher Hurd in 2023

team doesn't have solid pitching
So two of the top 3 in strikeouts with one being projected to be the #1 overall pick is not solid pitching? Team ERA of 3.8 which is 9th in the country as an entire staff. Eyanson with a 2.88 and opponent batting average of .190. Anderson has a 3.47 era with a .220 opponent batting average.

“just because we got to Omaha doesn’t mean we’re a good team”

Christ, what a buzzkill of a post.
The CWS is tough as shite and LSU just happened to get the best team in the field for their first game. But it's baseball so hope springs eternal. Just shut the frick up and enjoy the trip. They don't happen every year.

Thanks man for keeping me grounded. Silly me for being thankful the lsu bats showed up. You got our minds right now. Thanks again.

Yes, the Tigers walloped West Virginia, but as many noted that team doesn't have solid pitching and their fielding was shaky. LSUs hitters feasted, as you would hope. Many of the teams in Omaha have better pitching than the Mountaineers, so I would suggest expectations be tempered a little regarding the Tigers' offense.

What do you mean calm down? If we would’ve went last year not even seeded I would’ve been pumped. That’s like saying don’t be excited to beat Nichols in March, won’t get you to Omaha. Well guess what, we are going to Omaha so I’m gonna be excited.

Your post makes me suspect 1 of 2 things will happen during this run. They lose and you bump this with a "I told you so..."
-OR-
They win it all and you start a thread saying you are happy they won the CWS, but everyone needs to calm down because it's a long road to go to repeat.

It’s the benefit of being a fan. I get to enjoy the success and get hyped without any of the pressure to make it actually happen. Idk why these posts always pop up like we as fans have a damn bit of influence on the outcome of a game outside of being simply loud at the game. I promise you, if this fall Bill in section 200 is overlooking LA Tech and is “focused” on the Florida game the next week, it won’t make a single shred of difference in the result on the field. I really just think it’s attention seeking.
