Ever wondered how 2019 LSU would fair against 2011 LSU?

I think the 2019 offense would do just enough to eek out a close win

I don't think our 2011 offense would score 29 against our 2019 D if Clemson couldn't.

2011 would not get past the 50 yard line.

Not really, 2011 didn't have an offense. 2019 would win easily.

With an even spread I would bet the mortgage money on the 2019 team.

It would be similar to the championship game against Clemson. Off to a slow start then 2019 would go on run.

I love watching that 2011 defense. So glad I got in my life LSUs GOAT units on both sides of the ball. I was at every game but the Mississippi games in 2019 but I just love me some good defense. The tension to me is way higher and the rush of a defensive stand always seems to get a stadium more hyped than great offense. I think a sack fumble or a pick 6 may be the best feelings in football for a fan. You can mix in a tight fourth down conversation for great offensive situations.

Can we at least rotate in Jerret Lee or does Jordan Jefferson still have naked pictures of les miles with a donkey.

That 2011 NC game really did a number on you people.
Even with the shutout loss to Bama, LSU posted 35.7 points/game in 2011. They had a top 20 offense that year.
I think the model is a fair guess.

Are there a bunch of people in this thread that don't remember 2011? That is the greatest team ever to not win the title. Beat the Rose Bowl Champs, Orange Bowl Champs, Sugar Bowl Champs, and the National Champs while going undefeated in the SEC.
That defense was as good as it gets. It took Bama almost 2 full games plus overtime to score a touchdown. Don't let that final score fool you. They kicked 5 FGs and didn't score an actual touchdown until 4 minutes left. What Burrow was on offense, TM was on defense. It would be an amazing battle.
Ultimately 2019 would pull it out, but those acting like it would be a blowout are nuts.

That, and people forget that teams could run the ball on 2019's defense... and 2011 could run on just about anyone.
*If you say "they couldn't against Bama", you're forgetting we wore them down late in that first matchup.
And 2019 LSU's defense was nowhere near as stout.

OBJ, Landry, and Randle would've given that 19 defense fits.

2006 offense was better than 2011 offense. I even think it was better than 2003 team.
