FYI, I checked and “fare” is the verb that means “to succeed”.

The 2019 team would win pretty easily by wearing down the 2011 defense. While the 2011 defense was fantastic would hold their own against the 2019, the 2011 offense depended heavily on turnovers and Burrows didn't turn the ball over. Despite a mediocre defense in 2019, the 2011offense was pretty mediocre too and wouldn't have been able to sustain the long drives they would need to. This would also put the 2011 defense trying to stop Burrow and Co on a short field

That defense was as good as it gets. It took Bama almost 2 full games plus overtime to score a touchdown. Don't let that final score fool you. They kicked 5 FGs and didn't score an actual touchdown until 4 minutes left. What Burrow was on offense, TM was on defense. It would be an amazing battle.

Ultimately 2019 would pull it out, but those acting like it would be a blowout are nuts.

100% agree. They are sleeping on these facts. Really think about how that 2011 D performed against what was a two time, and eventually 3/4 National Championship team who didn't allow OUR offense beyond the 50 yd line. To hold them to 7 field goals in 7 quarters is still one of the greatest defensive performances I've ever seen. Special teams would play a factor. The game would be much closer than most think.

The 2011 defense makes it a lower scoring game than the 2019 team was used to.

That being said, 2019 wins fairly handily. I’d say 27-13. Not really much of a rap on that 2011 team. It’s just that 2019 offense was just that devastating.
