Cost of living is ridiculous
My property tax is much higher than the any state I’ve lived in before and higher than the state I’m moving to next.

I bought 18 qts of oil & 5 gallons of antifreeze. The tax was $24. 10% sales tax is crushing

Then there is car insurance costs. I won’t belabor that.

I can’t even afford home owner insurance on our home. With the premium costs and stupid high hurricane deductible. It made no sense

Rip off, Superior Tire in Mandeville. Brought 4 trailer tires and rims to them. Off the trailer. To be mounted. And a 5th to be patched. $246 to mount my new goodyear tires. They’re a ( Goodyear dealer ). It took about 25 min. I now do all my tire business in Bay Saint Louis.

The tales go on …

What if we saw the vast majority of long haul trucks being operated in the right lane only at 55 mph by autonomous driving systems. Slowing trucks to 55 does cut consumption significantly. They could operate 24/7. Put a man in the cab to fuel/load/unload.
Think how much more pleasant a road trip would be without aggressive truckers plugging all lanes passing each other.

I’ve read in more than a couple places,
To go coffee or hot anything in what we think is a paper cup. Is a blast of micro plastic to the system. Cause the paper is impregnated with plastics, otherwise, yes the paper will leak on its own.
