Not even sure what that means. I'm positive that not one single Florida player was thinking of Bama when they were on the field.
We outplayed them, period.

I'm not sure they "over looked" us, but they definitely thought they were going to win. Not playing Pitts in the 2nd half was huge.

You baws are a sad-arse bunch. Maybe, just maybe the LSU team just decided to kick some gator butts. Why can't you just enjoy the victory without trying to downgrade the effort the team displayed.

Ya'll are some really shitty people.

IMO Flott targeting was way less than the Florida OL cheap shot after the whistle.

Every break? They turned it over 3 times on plays caused by the defense. Florida came in with a full team minus 1 player. At home with every reason to win. They had the breaks before the game started. The only unforced error was the shoe throw. We came in minus a starting QB. 3 Receivers, 3 DB's during the game, not enough on defense to substitute, minus 2 RB's at one point in the game, 1 starting linebacker and more. I would say they had the breaks.

Apparently they thought they could beat us without their TE.

This. There is no way we win that game if Pitts is in. We just don't have the guys on defense to match up with them with everyone who was out last night.

I'm sure Pitts was battle worn, but I think he absolutely could have played. Mullens sat him hoping to rest him up for Bama because they did not need him for LSU.

Florida turnovers were the equalizer.

Thank you undermanned defense.

Prior to the game the media was calling it a tune up game for UF before the SECCG. I was like...LSU is now a tune up? Wow.

Yep. Gators lost for the same reason the Saints did.

Yes and ask the saints about what happens when you do it. I will give 100% credit to the young one and how they play. Great never say die attitude.

overlooking a weaker opponent before a huge game next week happens all the time in sports.

And be careful saying we outplayed them. We gave up 600+ yards of offense, 8.2 yards per play.

Trask’s turnovers, the helmet bounce pick, the shoe throw - those things shifted the game.

No. They lost the game.
609 yards of offense is not getting whipped.

They out gained us by almost 200 yards. We fought and forced turnovers. Caught a couple breaks. The final score is all that matters especially in this game every year. LSU Florida is a very storied series.

Come on.

That late in the game, they were driving every time they got the ball.

There would be no doubt they could have gotten in FG range if not another TD if the clock wasn’t a factor.

This.

I'm honestly glad they didn't try a deep pass on their last drive, because I have the suspicion they'd have hit it. They just didn't have enough time to frick around and try it once.

We hit a near-miracle 57 yd fg, then they missed a comparably easy 51 yd attempt.

I'm not downplaying the W because it was great, and it couldn't happen to a nicer program. But there's no way we win that if Florida came in focused on us, instead of fricking around.
