Do you think Florida was overlooking LSU and thinking about Bama?

I realize that LSU got every break in the book last night and maybe, just maybe ole Mullins sat his All American tight end to rest up for the Bama game? I think they just knew it was LSU's night and couldn't stop us. What you say?

With how bad we have looked no doubt they didn’t even think of us as a threat

Probably a bit, yes.

It’s hard to get a team up for every game.

Definitely. They thought LSU would just roll over and not put up a fight at all but LSU's team full of freshmen came out and punched them in the mouth.

I’m sure they did which was dumb considering all they had to play for

Certainly possible. On paper, UF should have won easily. Add the fact we lost Flott, Stingley, TDP, Emery and the OL got banged up throughout the game, LSU should not have had a chance. But football can be a weird sport. LSU just made the plays they needed to win. They fought hard.

Does catching 'every break in the book' include losing three defensive starters, a starting RB, and not allowing a sack in 44 dropbacks?

Apparently they thought they could beat us without their TE.

Oh absolutely. In their defense, it's kinda hard not to with the way we played all year.

But I am surprised they didn't "turn it on" at halftime.

No doubt FLA was classily trapped.

Does not diminish the accomplishment though, especially when considering the mountain of obstacles in LSU’s way...

Absolutely. They sat their second best offensive player (maybe even best) just to rest him for Bama.

Yes. Mullen even said as much before the game.
That’s why they rested Pitts.

Mullen thought this game didn’t matter and even with a loss, they could beat Bama and still get in.

But Bama will beat the shite out of them.

Add the fact we lost Flott

Hate to pile on the kid, but him getting tossed is a very underrated factor that contributed to the win.

He was getting abused (again) before the ejection and not sure we would have won with him in the whole game.

Probably and TBH they were right to.

Even with them brushing us off and not properly preparing, we needed everything to fall our way from random bounces of the fall to a heavy fog stifling the deep threat from their QB to a player inexplicably throwing a shoe in anger on an otherwise clean play that would have sealed the win in order for LSU to win.
