Imo this isn’t shocking. The production lost offensively is huge! You lost big time production from 1B, 2B, RF, and CF.
From those 4 positions you lost 55+ HR’s, and a cumulative batting average above .300. That is quite simply, a huge loss.
Imo our pitching is fine, it will continue to improve also but it will not carry us when we aren’t getting 10 hits a game. We have to get some juice going offensively and we need some guys on base when we hit the dingers!
We really aren’t a top 10 team but we very well could beat any top team in a winner take all game.
By the end of the year, if we can just get into the tournament we will be a terrible draw for someone. We’ll be better at that point and be a real dangerous team. Just have to hang in there and win 80% of the remaining series with a sweep or two if possible.

Disappointed but I see a young team going through growing pains against elite competition facing unrealistic expectations from this fanbase.

Not mad. Lost a lot of talent, just confused that the next men up aren't getting it done as I thought we'd have a deep bullpen/great batting this year. Didn't know much about fielding but I assumed we'd be fine there.

Post championship year and 1-2 picks in the MLB draft, I can't force myself to be angry. Frustrated? Sure. Watching Paul Skenes pitch was pure joy.

Disappointed clearly as I figured we’d do better than two wins through the first three weekends, but I have no idea why anyone thought we’d be an elite team this year.

I’m content. Very early, just played three incredibly tough teams that can dominate anyone else in the country. Probably will be ugly again for The Tenn series but they will be fine and gear up for a post season run.
