The Correctional system Rec leagues will be stronger than ever in 10-15 years is my best guess. Just throwing a lot of money at kids and allowing and even encouraging to switch every year is setting them up for failure in the future if they aren't playing professionally, which most won't. I would love to sit in on the job interview when they tell the former athlete they would pay him like $40-$50k per year to start and then the athlete starts laughing and says they wouldn't even get out of bed for that.
Yes. Scoring 7 runs in the seventh to come back and tie it up definitely shows this. Just cause you don’t like the end result doesn’t mean you get to create your own narrative. A team that has quit would have gotten run ruled before they would have a huge inning to tie the game late.
Would be a good piece but you do realize if that’s what he wanted all he had to do was enter portal with no contact. Didn’t have to enter draft too.
Yes it was the most unlucky day for him yesterday when he struck out 3 straight times looking. Tough breaks
I would still be ecstatic with what his finish is and what his check will end up being for this week
Juice could be our rally possum
Maybe he was watching our best hitter do that all day. Although if you ask people on here he just got screwed by the umpire.
Very stupid at bat by Brown. Second straight at bat in the game and you are gonna watch the same pitch called strike three again without swinging. With runner on. That’s part of the crap Coach is talking about. Lack of focus and attention to detail.

Ump likes them high pitches today
With 4 coaches with HC experience then Reece ought to be the most coached up player in the country seeing he is our only player on the team. I kid I kid. Help will be on the way soon.

Need to go get a couple more scorers/sharpshooters along with a couple big girls with some skills preferably one in the 6’5” range or bigger. Assuming those girls exist in the portal then go get em
Michigans lineup were transfers but a few of their starters/contributors were there multiple years. They weren’t all year one guys there
You will have some years like this. Portal is not an exact science just like HS recruiting. A lot of portal talent is trying to take a step up in competition and you have to see if that translates successfully. Some times it will and sometimes it won’t. He didn’t totally miss. We got a weekend rotational guy a couple bullpen arms and Dardar has been coming on lately to make 2B more bearable. As of now, Carraway, Simpson and Yorke have been duds for most part. However if you looked at Carraway stats he was a streaky hitter and had a great post season run last year. Jay probably thought he saw something he could tweak to make him more consistent just hasn’t worked. We knew he wasn’t great defensively coming in. You can’t judge when a kid gets paid to transfer here and gets a little more money and the LSU on his chest and thinks he made it and doesn’t have to work as hard as he needs to so he can contribute. That is a crap shoot. Who translates to this level and conference, plus who will remain hungry and put in the work vs who will be just happy to be here.
Think it’s one. Miller had a post about going to portal in the last day or so

Would come down to a decision between:

-leverage of being able to return so maybe drafted higher

Vs

-importance of improving offensive side of game for long term success professionally even if drafted a little lower

most will probably pick the leverage and drafted higher with belief they can improve offensive side as they work through minor league ball. So end up being correct and some not
Thought I saw the other day Graves was going into the draft? Did that change or did I see it wrong?
who knows with this kid too. would love to have but looks like he put name in the draft last year until late May. don't know if he will try it again this year or not.
It has to be true b/c if he is the next Ja Morant then he was probably already sold on LSU due to our last McCoach. Thank you MM
This kid has averaged 21 + points per game 3 seasons in a row with 3 different teams. Safe to say you know what to expect if we indeed finalize locking him in.

His K-State Bio includes this fact:

- First Division I player to average at least 21.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game to go with 6.5 free throws per game since Ja Morant in 2018-19.

Kind of fitting if we get him.
Patience there Burger King. they will start rolling in soon enough
