re: How many people do you think Clemson will bring for the game?
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/15/26 at 6:10 pm to PSS101
With coaches, players, cheerleaders and band they will probably bring at least around 250-300 people

ooof. 4 of last 6 years finishing 10th or worse in the conference. not a good stretch overall for the Offense

Really surprised Vitello didn’t try to draft all our high recruits early. That way when fired in a couple years we are weaker…lol

Hopefully. They will still throw money at him to see if they can change his mind and get him to sign

Don’t know who posted it recently but someone posted they were hearing Sides would make it to campus and people that responded thought he was nuts but looks pretty likely now I would think.

Murphy drafted in 16th. Hopefully late enough to get him on campus

From how it looks now we could have a ridiculous blend of talented veterans along with very talented young players with huge upside next year
re: Easton Royal or Jalen Brewster?

If only one then give me the stud DL. We have never had problems getting very good receivers

I sat there for a night game one time and enjoyed it.
re: Marcus spears and jr not coming to LSU IS TRAITOROUS!!
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/11/26 at 9:49 am to Tiger987
Man that would almost be as bad as if:
Eddie Furniss son going to another SEC school. Oh wait
Or
Like a Manning going anywhere but Ole Miss. oh wait
Some kids don’t want to go to the same school where the parent was a stud. They want to create their own path. That with being from Texas and the recent history of the two programs who could blame him.

He really isn’t that good anyway or will only be there a year. Isn’t that we are supposed to say
re: Pop....Is he just rated as a 4* #9/10 QB based solely on his size?
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/9/26 at 5:44 pm to Broski
If he was at least 6’2” or 6’3” then he would be a five star and very good chance he is number one quarterback in the country and top five overall recruit. Which is stupid. It has been proven lately that even little people like Pavia among others can be very effective at college level regardless of height.
re: LSU basketball commit Yam Madar Ineligible????

This was completely expected. Most likely Luis won't make it either. hopefully the rest get cleared.

that was expected. hopefully we only lose one more in Luis. If everyone else is cleared we can still be competitive and a tournament quality team.
re: Will Lane go for it on 4th down?
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/9/26 at 12:40 pm to BengalShark
He will but it depends on the feel of the game and all. If he has like a top 10 or 20 defense on his side then he either may feel more comfortable taking 3 instead of going for it to get 7 as he knows he may not have to score as many points to win. That or he could go for it more knowing he has a strong defense to back him up if he don't make it. Said all that to say I have no clue but it will be entertaining whichever way it goes. you are welcome for the input.
re: Who will take the loss hardest?
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/6/26 at 9:47 pm to ctowntiger
Think the answer is clearly Ole Miss. they will talk it up and treat it like their Super Bowl. Think Lane will downplay and try his best to treat it as their Super Bowl next game. If we go in and win by double digits I could see them going into downward spiral and finishing like 7-5. Then get progressively worse each year until they get another coach.

Am I the only one that doesn’t really pay attention to how the end zones and yard markers are painted?

re: Why does Baker struggle with Mobile QBs?
Posted by Portcityblues on 7/2/26 at 12:30 pm to Tchefuncte Tiger
Scheme, players being over aggressive and undisciplined and letting the QB escape the pocket. Remember Johnny football gave the great Nick Saban fits because it's very difficult to plan for the unknown of a broken play with a mobile QB. It drove Saban nuts because it was the type of play you could not perfectly plan and prepare for in practice. It was out of his control. Best thing is to rush them but hold contain and do a mush rush if you have to like the chief did to keep the QB in the pocket. Then at times with good coverage pocket will collapse and force sack. if not then you at least make them beat you consistently with their arms which you have more control over with your coverage schemes.

Plus all your spirit wear can double as hunting and safety gear. that could be a big money saver right there.
