He basically said Perkins would have had to learn another position to move him back inside and they didn't feel like that was the thing to do.

He said he would be on the field a lot more this weekend.

Hanny calling BS on this. You play your best players.

You're right, the question is asked on a weekly basis and they continue to fall behind multiple scores each week. The team is not prepared going into games and also is not executing.

Look at this past game. You muff the kick, on your first drive offensively you get to 3rd and 3 and Boutte drops a pass that hit him in his hands. You punt and not only do you outkick your coverage but you had guys leave their lanes. Execution is bad.

Yep. Tennessee started inside the 30 their first 2 drives because of the continually bad special teams play. Then you can throw in going for it on 4th downs and there's a lot of mistakes, by both players and coaches there.

Yeah. Kelly looks bad here. Figure out a package for him at least as a rush end or something, Jesus.

Yikes

Good to know you can just scheme LSU’s best players off of the field.

Offensive line is in shambles... 2 true freshmen starting and no depth; big and slow afoot; very little quickness in the first step; no strength; no true center! Will be this way this year and until the right offensive linemen are recruited. Can't blame this on the present staff! But still, pulling for the guys who are playing and giving 100%...

I'm probably a bit more towards Hanny's opinion. I see where Kelly is coming from...BUT, they didn't have any issue moving him around prior to Tennessee. Why start now?

which is probably why we went with scrambling QB as our main QB...

This shite ain't cool. Perkins is way too much of an athlete to not be on the field.

It was probably a smart move to leave him on the bench. Even though he has been one of your most impactful players all season, you didn't want to risk him being out of position against Tennessee's offense. Otherwise, they might have scored FORTY F-ING POINTS!!!

Regarding Tight Ends: still have a ways to go with blocking

No shite. Then why does the offensive game plan seemingly require at least one TE, and more than a few times, two, be in on just about every play? I get that Kelly and Denbrock love using TEs. Great...do that in the future when you have enough capable players. But for THIS team, TE is a disadvantage. No use continuously wasting one of your WRs (the purported strength of the offense) for guys who aren't big time targets in the passing game and can't block in the run game.

Tennessee was the better team on Saturday. They were likely going to win regardless. But LSUs coaching decisions did the team no favors at all.

Agree 100% but Hanny is way to logical for this bunch on the rant.

It confuses the hell out of me when they put Mason Taylor out wide. Do they seriously think he is that good of a route runner and pass catcher to be replacing a wide receiver out wide?

They're the ones that get paid so they get to make the decisions but they also get to live with them.

It was a conscience decision to not play Harold Perkins and then they refused to adjust and get him in. Sorry but this is poor coaching.

Orgeron or Les would be roasted for that.

They love to run Taylor on a wheel up the sideline from the slot with a WR trying to "screen" the LB by cutting across the middle, and it hardly ever works.

They get paid big money to coach football, and know way more than I do… but I sure hope they can brainstorm a way to get a disruptive young player on the field. Maybe that’s asking too much… I don’t know.

Perkins can't be any worse than Penn. Penn misses open tackles and a sack and he's slow as Christmas covering athletes.

Why are we focused on 4th downs and not converting 3rd downs??
