Still like the team and head coach and their effort. We'll get better and better. Maybe need a better special teams coach or better players to coach. IDK. Geaux Tigahs.

I think it had everything with how UT spreads the field using huge WR splits to open space in the middle of the field. Right or not, I think they were worried about him having to cover a ton of space in pass defense as a true freshman.
No one else in the SEC plays with those extreme splits, so I don’t think we will see this happen again. The staff has obviously not had issues trusting him in any of the other games.

Kelly doesn’t have near the accomplishments of Les, even though ND is set up with soft schedules every year.
You’re letting the end distort your perception of CLM: he hadn’t lost a regular season non-conference game until his last season. He had a higher win% than Saban at LSU. If we lived in a just world he’d have 2 natties.
Kelly is only 8 years younger and doesn’t have any such accomplishments, again in a much easier setup.

Convincing me Bryan Kelly is an idiot is not going to take much more convincing. Sure he’s in a tough spot, but come on.
We deferred because we didn’t want to give them an extra possession.

Couple that with the game management & productivity of the offense, and this does feel so very Les Miles.
