“Not scared of competition, as long as everybody starts the race at the same spot”
Basically says he wasn’t injured all season, just wasn’t getting game reps. Missed some fall practices but was 100% all season. Wants touches.
Did say “sometimes you have to do things you don’t want to do” and that sounded genuine and kind of sad.

TYFYS Bech.

Why does he suggest people started the race at different spots?

Higher ranked recruits/more hyped players coming in getting more reps in practice vs it being a fair workload and seeing who emerges would be my guess

Sucks. Really had high hopes for the kid and thought he would do well this year.
I suspect those PR drops had more effect than what he’s willing to admit.

We should have bulked him up to 240 from day 1 and ran him as a hybrid TE. I always thought that was the plan.

Coaches will play the guy they think is best. Not only does it make the team better, It’s in their self interest to do. Didn’t we have a former walk on starting at running back.

Ok, but when you get the chance and the ball touches your hands, MAKE A PLAY. Or at least don't fumble.

Very sorry to see him leave. I think there is more to his story. Good Luck Jack

Why did he miss practices if he was 100%.

Unless it’s for family reasons, I can’t see your new head coach being confident in you.

He’s more a receiver and not a blocker and since we have a qb where most of his game tends to be making most of his plays with his legs Bech shoulda learned to block better. Probably why Taylor got the reps

Hate to say it, but the UTenn fumble ended his career at LSU.

Wish him well but he got passed up and he knows it. Buried in a deep WR room, and passed up by a true fresh in Taylor at TE. He had his chance to make an impact on special teams but fumbled it away.

He saw who was returning, he saw the incoming freshmen and transfers, and that's why he's transferring. I hope he can excel at his new destination like Quinn and Palmer did.

And this is why the backup QB will always be better here.

I feel for the kid. Bottom line is he just got lost on the depth chart at WR and blew an opportunity as a returner… twice. He was starting from the same spot. He just got beat.

I don’t fault the kid for transferring out, he wants to play. TCU gives him a less crowded room and a chance.

sounds like he missed some early practices due to injury but once he was 100% he still didn't see the field.

Like it or not when you muff a punt, then have a meltdown like a 12 year old, then claim injury you pretty much put yourself behind in said race! But, best of luck to the kid!

Good luck to jack. Going to a team playing in the playoffs. Hopefully it works out for the young man.
