Bech is just making excuses. Not surprising since he is 20 years old, he will hopefully grow up and take ownership

I’m going to preface this by saying Jack Bech is an upstanding young man who represented LSU well. However, he would likely not even be the 6th best WR this year. Boutte, Nabers, BTJ, Aaron Anderson, and Kyren Lacy are all better. That’s 5. And I’d bet there’s a great possibility he would’ve gotten past up by an incoming freshman, like Shelton Sampson. Can’t blame Jack Bech for a business decision.

Same. But BK needs TE to do some blocking down around the line. Not just out in soace when te/hybrid is flexed out.

I dont have a problem with Bech, and not going to bother enumerating missed opportunities he had from this past season. But you know what this statement is missing? Personal accountability.

The injury and late start hurt Bech, but the two fumbles just killed him ... and us, they were both devastating momentum swingers.

It's really too bad. He seems like a really nice young man with a lot of potential. I wish him well in Ft. Worth.

Basically says he wasn’t injured all season, just wasn’t getting game reps.

So like most people have said all year he got passed up by better receiving options. Thank you for being a tiger hopefully things work out better at TCU.

I’d agree with that list except for Lacy , he is no way better .

Sounds like he couldn’t cut it with the talent at LSU

If being a true tiger means dripping of arrogance and entitlement and lacking self-awareness, then yeah, I guess you're right.

Good riddance...

TCU gives him a less crowded room

Still going to be pretty crowded. Couple of fumbles and he might be transferring again.

He is a good wr but not great. As stated before he got lost in the depth chart. That’s why he left, so basically yeah he is scared of competition. I think tcu will be eye opening for him. I don’t think he will play much there either. Sort of like Johnson at 4&8.

Ok, but when you get the chance and the ball touches your hands, MAKE A PLAY. Or at least don't fumble.

Are you talking about as a returner? Nabers fumbled back to back punts and bears a big part of the blame for the FSU game. He got a chance to redeem himself at WR.

Boutte had multiple drops and was roasted on this board for not giving a shite the first half of the season. He was never taken out of the lineup.

Taylor had drops early on, missed a block on a FG that allowed a FG block and struggled early on blocking and was never taken out of the game.

Bech never should have been a returner. He took the job because Nabers failed. As a WR he never fumbled and was considered the most sure handed LSU WR coming into the season. His problem is the other WRs are more dynamic. Nabers and Boutte are better vertical threats and better for YAC. BTJ has size and can out muscle DBs. Jenkins is steady and reliable. What Bech does well is read zones and can sit down in space and give the QB a good target. Ironically he's a better fit for Daniels who struggles with timing and vertical routes and throws to the WR instead of throwing anticipation.

Kelly and Denbrock are still trying to figure out what they want and in some instances are not utilizing their players properly. Flynn and Hester pointed it out saying with Daniels LSU should be using more RPO and spread, but instead do more max protect.

Whether this is Bech making excuses or BK having preconceived notions about who will play it's not a great look to prospective recruits.

It’s not a great look that the head coach played the best players regardless of what they did the year before?

Sometimes you have to hang onto the football. When given his shite, he didn’t do anything to stand out or warrant more playing time. I like the guy but I’m hearing excuses in his comments.

Yep, and Bech is just one more guy tossed out in the churn.

Sucks for Bech, but he's good enough to play. He'll have a chance at TCU.

Well we just got four highly recruited studs at WR to come here and a 5 star transfer. I think we’ll be fine.

We should have bulked him up to 240 from day 1 and ran him as a hybrid TE.

He would be grossly inferior at TE than what we had. Same with OT. He’s a WR.

Why does he suggest people started the race at different spots?

There is only so much coaching time and practice reps, and the coaches have to decide to whom they will give it. Early on they made the pecking order, and no one did anything to get demoted.

Hate to say it, but the UTenn fumble ended his career at LSU
Didn’t Nabers fumble a couple times on punt returns? Wonder why that didn’t ruin his career.

Best of luck to him

I'd have preferred to see him stay here, improve & shine but that's not today's CFB world.
