Last time an LSU Baseball Team was this bad and missed the postseason there was a ton of infighting and locker room issues. I wonder if there was some of the same between portal guys and returning guys?

He is doing what he needs to do to get Basketball back competitive quickly using the extent of the rules that are available. He knows and has said that this will not be allowed next year so take advantage of it while you can.

The only thing that needs to be kept from this years Pitching Staff is Moore, Schmidt, Evans, Sheeran (but will probably get drafted high), Lachemayer, Garcia, and Paz. Everything else needs to be culled and possibly even a couple of what I listed? At a minimum all of these showed the ability to compete and contribute in the SEC at one point of another.

I agree with this thought process. The Fielding was so bad this as year as well that you had to try and get the K otherwise it would be Booted. Knowing that had to affect the way they called pitches?

Some are definitely worth keeping but about half of this roster needs to be purged. Beside not being SEC Level Talent you have a lot that are not Winners and Do Not have the Intestinal Fortitude to compete at this level.

I think they have been putting too much emphasis on velocity and not enough on guys that simply know how to pitch and can throw strikes. Rizy can damn near hit 100 and cant get the ball within 10' of the plate!

Yes and No. He Royally F'd up this Roster and this Season. He admitted that so I trust he will get it right. In that same token take away the 2 Nattys and he is a Sub .500 Coach in the SEC. I would like to see the program be more consistent. Even Paul Manure had us as a National Seed for 6 years straight. But, if this is the trend of getting 2 Nattys every 5 years I will take it!
