a wet field also hinders the deep passing game where they have a huge advantage. Lets just hope Kelly has the team practicing on a wet field this week.

A wet field neutralizes the game. The team who plays sound, fundamental football, and doesn't turn the ball over likely will win.

I'm not a fan of wet games. Not saying it favors either side, but it can contribute to weird stuff. I hope the forecast improves.

Our O line will have a huge advantage if the field is sloppy. Also, Gibbs is a scat back type runner. If it’s wet, he has an advantage. If it’s typical Tiger Stadium wet, sloppy, loose turf he will have an issue.

Alabama has the worst OL they have had since Saban got there

Or let me say it this way

The OL has performed poorly to this point in the season relative to prior years

I disagree. A sloppy field takes away their speed advantage and deep threats. LSU's size on the interior DL will shine. Roy and Guillory are mudders... their mothers were mudders.

Eh, I think you're just assuming they have a much better line and RB. But the numbers suggest otherwise. This isnt the dominant line and running alabama team we are accustomed to.

If anything, the rain mildly affects our short passing offense and heavily influences their extensive passing offense.

Gibbs is a smaller speed back. I’d be more worried against a Derrick Henry type. They don’t have that. Josh Williams runs hard inside. I like us with Jayden running the ball if the pass game is limited.

I feel like Daniels and our RBs (except for Emery) are more north south runners.

Daniels makes plenty of cuts. The field conditions will be problems for him as well

Wet fields are a disadvantage for the faster team who depends on sharp cuts.

Rain supposed to end by mid morning. If the field drains well it will be alright.

Even if it’s not raining at game time two inches of water is going to mess up the footing.

I was more worried about our secondary and Bryce Young. The rain will nullify some of that....hopefully.

Probably favors them some, but with Daniels ability to run it can be negated to an extent.

With a good running back the hand off of a wet ball is a second failure point. With a running QB the snap is the only exchange to worry about.

Not saying Daniels runs every play, but I like the fact he can run.

I don't know. Would you rather face the reigning Heisman Trophy winning QB on a dry field or a wet field? Bryce Young does so much damage scrambling around and making plays. A wet field and a wet ball could limit that. Obviously Daniels would have to deal with the elements as well but with his running ability it might not hurt him as much.

All the pressure is on bama. A sloppy game with a lot of turnovers could keep LSU in it until the 4th quarter. If that happens then anything can happen. It would be an upset but it wouldn't be the upset some people are making it out to be. This isn't LSU playing Florida in 1997.
