Ryan doesn't have the hips to play cornerback. I mean, he tries though. Its telling that hes playing cornerback #1. Welch irritates me, because I think he has the ability. But he doesn't give effort. And doesn't care. Why the he'll play football if you won't try to play hard? ...

That may be the silver lining (if there is any). The coaches have been playing many of our Freshman. I think it will continue. Maybe its the "it can't get any worse" concept.

No. I think Whit Weeks is our best Defensive player right now. I hate to say it, but when Speights got injured we got better. He may not have the size yet, but dang he has a nose for the ball and he gives effort! He had bad plays too, but I can live with it. For wondering why Welch hasn't playe...

Any kind of quarterback/offense is gonna cut our zone to pieces. Very little ball recognition, secondary was missing assignments, didn't tackle well, didn't look athletic. I could really tell the secondary hasn't bonded. To be fair, you can expect that with that amount of turnover...

The way we went for 4th downs was fool hardy. On one 4th we ran all kind of cross action and then Daniel's ran it for a loss. From the beginning of the first quarter we couldn't move their interior. I don't get lining the qb in the zone read when you've got 8-9 in the box and they can easily read...

I cant remember seeing that lack of quality depth on defense. We got gassed and outclassed. I mean I get that they adjusted, but we didn't win as many one on ones in second half. We should have more pride on defense....I'm deflated too...

I agree. In good position most of the time. He is a good tackler and Kelly puts a premium on this. The knocks as far as I see. He doesnt have great ball awareness and he doesn't have length. He's noticeably "stumpier" than our other DBs. I hope he turned the corner this year. ...

Not a player exactly, but I'm starving for an interior D line that can impose their will...it's been so long since we've had two first team all sec guys that destroyed Olineman. Thinking back it would've been Brockers and Logan or Dorsey and Jackson...really excited to see Smith wingo combination. ...
