Yes, you are triggered. I say a walk on QB won’t play and that is your 1st thought. You think that is normal?

Why does it even need to be said at all? When does LSU ever have a walk on QB walk in and people think, "oh he's going to play here?"

What I think is not normal is your woke BS agenda that you've been known to push. If that hurts your little feelings to be called out on it, sorry but not sorry.

Oh, my feelings aren’t hurt. It’s just intriguing to me that Emile Picarella triggers into a rant like this

Wasn’t this the kid from MS who got an Oregon offer before he’d ever played a down in high school?

Good for him. I've heard he and his family bleed purple and gold. He will get to live out a dream, and very few get that opportunity.

At one time, he was highly ranked in his class but didn't develop like others. Happens a lot.

So Lester is a black guy? Never knew that

The only thing I knew about Lester is that he has over 283,000 posts on an internet message board. There has to be some sort of problem there.

I know little about the kid but I will say in a day where commitments mean less than nothing in the recruiting world, it is refreshing to see a kid chase his dream and wait out the recruiting process. He could have pursued playing time at a smaller school, that may have been the better path in some peoples opinion but he is chasing a dream that millions of kids have had. He has my respect, I wish him nothing but the best wherever his playing career takes him.

He’s a great young man as well. Far better than some of the dipshits in this thread.

As for saying he should go elsewhere, you never know what LSU’s roster or needs will be in the future so if they have a QB spot for you in the year that you were looking for it, you take it

He’s got offers from plenty solid programs including Ole Miss, State,

State wasn't recruiting him at all. I think that Leach threw out an offer when he was in 9th or 10th grade when he was still alive.

What's stupid about shitting on a kid who walks on is that LSU particularly has a history of walk-ons earning a scholarship and playing (we had 2 just this year alone that I remember), we've had walk ons go on to be coaches (remember TC McCartney?), and these guys may be about to get money with revenue sharing so they may get a payday. You never know how a guy may help your program down the line even if he doesn't play. You think Gordon is going to fund NIL if we didn't let his kid walk on that one year?

Walk-on qbs are in the QB room, going to the same meetings as the other QBs, learning the same stuff. If you have one that's especially adept at learning and communicating what they're learning, it can elevate the whole room. Those are the ones that are likely to end up becoming coaches.

I don't know anything about the kid, but if he fits the category above, even if he never sees the field he'd have a positive impact on the program.

Don't know a single thing about this Picarella kid, but I'm going to make an educated guess that he's white. If his skin color was darker, and everything else were the same, this same poster would be telling you how underrated of a player he is.

Yep. Lester is a low-key racist for sure. I’ve noticed it too.

And there is a precedent for walk-ons to play at LSU…see Josh Williams.

Yeah... and every 2-star will be the next Justin Jefferson, right?

Cool. He’ll never play

Maybe he wants to be a coach? That’s not a bad place to play to do that.
