re: Out of bounds - BillF
Harris just isn't very good. The only significant time he got last year was against Texas, and they abused him....

re: That was flat out BAD - BillF
They don't trust Brennan at all, so they tried to score without him....

re: Will ULL get lucky with Napier? - BillF
Insecurity, thy name is Alabama. LSU plays ULL, ULM and Louisiana Tach. Alabama is petrified to schedule Troy, UAB, Jacksonville State or South Alabama for fear of losing to them. Heck, Alabama wouldn't play Auburn if they weren't forced to. I guess it's much better (and potentially less embarras...

Vandy won't spend the money to actually commit to winning. Vandy also isn't about to hire a coach who isn't a minority....

re: Steve Smith and Michael Irvin - BillF
They do want diversity, which makes them different from ESPN. Good luck finding a job at ESPN if you're not a minority. I like Marcus Spears, but it embarrasses me when he constantly says things like "they not even playing they best players" or can't even pair a plural subject with a plural verb....

re: Steve Smith and Michael Irvin - BillF
I thought he same thing about Smith. He was really searching for words, trying to put together sentences, even if they don't make much sense....

re: Guilbeau writes long USA Today article complaining LSU hasn’t released COVID numbers - BillF
HIPAA doesn't prevent a team from releasing the number of positive results, it just prevents them from releasing the names of the persons who have tested positive. Still, LSU has no duty or responsibility to divulge any information about positive tests whatsoever....

re: Guilbeau writes long USA Today article complaining LSU hasn’t released COVID numbers - BillF
The law doesn't prevent a school from releasing the number of players who have tested positive. They just can't release the names of the players. That said, almost no schools are reporting the number of positive tests because they don't have to. Maybe he needs to talk to Alabama and Clemson to ge...

re: Shelvin and Ferrell rumor of opting back in - BillF
He just has to make sure he's in good standing academically and hasn't hired an agent. If it's just a matter of opting out of the season like a few players have done, there are no rules or deadlines. He could opt in, then out, the in again.......

re: Les loses to Coastal carolina 2 years in a row. - BillF
Jerrell Powe committed to "The University of LSU" at an all-star game. The only problem was that LSU hadn't offered him a scholarship....

re: Les loses to Coastal carolina 2 years in a row. - BillF
Odd that this thread about a former LSU coach is okay for the Rant, but the thread about another former LSU coach is not. Chicken and the mods are terrified of the mob. Nothing surprising about that....

re: Brennan still needs to improve a few things - BillF
Pretty much every first time starter at the quarterback position needs to improve all those things. Orgeron didn't say he was doing thise things poorly, just that improving those things were the next steps in his development to be a championship quarterback. The bar at the position was raised by Bur...

re: Watch out for Jaray Jenkins - BillF
I remember seeing things about Ricks when he was in high school that said he was very talented, but raw. That isn't a knock. Almost every corner coming out of high school is a bit raw, regardless of their talent. Stingley is an exception. You could say the same about most high school receivers....

re: Who else (of note) from other schools has opted out of playing this season - BillF
Yeah, but in the end it doesn't really matter, since their entire conference opted out. You're right, though. I think those players opted out before the Big 10 decision....

re: This is really upsetting - BillF
Saban has really turned up the pressure the last couple of years to get kids to stay. He uses his NFL connections to convince kids that his information about their respective draft positions is better than what they can learn elsewhere, and that their position in the draft can possibly slip. H...

re: Ryan Clark recent tweet - BillF
actions speaks louder than words
Doing both is even better. Orgeron tells parents he will treat their children like his own and do what's best for them. He has. He's given a number of these kids numerous chances when others would have kicked them to the curb. He took lightly recru...

re: Ryan Clark recent tweet - BillF
I haven't read the whole thread, so I don't know if this has been mentioned. They used to have a thing where Greeny would get Clark to explain his tweets because Greenberg thought they were witty and cute. I wonder if Greenberg will ask him about this one? Furthermore, would Clark have the balls ...

re: Shelvin’s dad says it was because of Covid concern - BillF
I also, like everyone else on this board, wish he would be playing this season, but I'm not going to take personal shots at him or his dad because of it. He worked really hard last year to get in shape and was a major contributor on the greatest team of all time. It's his decision and his life, not ...
