I don't think enough people understand this. I know we've taken 4 commits from them this cycle, but that doesn't mean we can get everyone.

No. But if a recruit was so enamored and locked into a certain school, one would think he would have just made it official in December. No reason not to. Yet, not only did he not do so, he's actively been receptive in being recruited by other programs. He may ultimately sign with A&M. But his actions have all along suggested his desire to go there is not as "solid" as some may feel.

The staff will stay on good terms with him, even with him at A&M. That way if he is available in a year in the portal, you are at the top of his list. Can't blame a kid for wanting to stay close to home.

Doesn't help they had a complete coaching overhaul and now even the AD has left.

Otherwise it may have never been a question.

BK & Sloan went to the senior bowl before flying to see Bryce Underwood which is way more important at this time.

Underwood is super important but he doesn't sign for 10 more months, whereas Bussey signs in 5 days.

I think all signs point to us learning on his unofficial that we did not make up enough ground to overtake the Aggies (at least for the 2024 season). So they cancelled the in-home. BK is not going to beg a kid to come play for him.

It's a bad decision for him football wise. The 4 that flipped could tell which program was on the way up. Raymond has a history of getting recruits like him on the field very early. Both CB spots are wide open. He would most likely play in 3 playoffs if he came here, probably with a couple wins in the playoffs

Bussey is a guy a&m simply cannot afford to lose just like Colin Simmons and Texas.

We took Reliford, Dom, Davis, and Gilbert from them. If they lost Bussey, it would be devastation.

He’s also got a weird family dynamic with his coach being his legal guardian and he’s real tight with aggies.

We’re definitely still in the fight but I’m wouldn’t wager any money on it.

Doesn't at all seem to be the case to me. Kid always wanted A&M, but when Jumbo left and all the defections, he reconsidered. Ultimately though, it seems like he wants to be there.

Just my take. Hope I am wrong.

So he is essentially having to be re-recruited. Which suggest A&M is not the "lock" everyone assumed it to be.

In the NIL era and with handlers, even if you are locked in, why commit to a school whose collective spends money like a drunken sailor when you can leverage them with nothing more than some social media posts?

No doubt, it is a far higher priority for LSU to land Underwood than Bussey.

Tiger fans are greedy and hope to sign both, but certainly BK & Sloan are doing the right thing.

As has often been posted here, LSU has done all it could, but it just seems like he's been A&M's recruit to lose all along.

Since they lost what four others to LSU, chances aren't nearly as good that will happen again. But we can still hold out hope.

Jordy thinks he’s trending away from A&M so I’d consider him an A&M lock now

We've put in enough to make him question his decision. I'd say we're a legit 50-50 with the Aggies.

What ever he does I will take the opportunity to watch him on Saturday. Heck of a future for him I believe.

There are rumblings on Texags that UGA is a bigger threat than originally thought
