Sorry for my ignorance, but who’s Verne?
I have a 2nd grade question. Would 5 mil be per year…, or every year ??

Hypothetical. Would you prefer a combo of Michigan and Ole Miss Oline instead?
Not sure. The staff needs to make judgments on
1) is the talent and drive there?
2) was the poor play due to coaching…
My question is how will the staff know without seeing them play at present and evaluate (not past with no coaching)? The 1st 3 were highly rated out of HS.
One would think the current amount of film study by the staff would be at 20 hours a day…
I’d like to know the boards opinion:

We should pay a reasonable amount to keep Curne, Calloway, Echols & Adams. With proper coaching, they can be good O linemen

I don’t think he was talking about you. I think he was commenting in support of your post to the op. Maybe I’m wrong. But probably not.
You are correct sir. didn't mean to direct it to him. It's the kids on here not realizing anything can happen, on any given day. Ole Miss proved it.

Ok. I see the rule. Just don’t get why the offensive player can lead with his helmet into the defensive players head/helmet and it’s no problem .
Offensive guy running the ball can literally target a defensive player. Got it

I’ve seen thousands of tackles where they
lunge toward the running back and hit them in the head or the cunning back running towards the defensive player lunging forward. They are both lunging forward! Bottom line is the defensive player is supposed to make a split second decision if the offensive player is defenseless?
So leading with the crown of the helmet is not the only infraction. If a runner is heading toward you helmet 1st can you lunge with your shoulder instead?

Aren’t they teaching players to lead with your shoulder instead of the crown of the helmet? How are you supposed to tackle if you can’t lead with your shoulder? Use your stomach?
Don’t understand this rule. Is it because he was “getting ready” to go down?
If the offensive player is standing up(being held by another defensive player” are you supposed to be alert enough to not hit him at all?
