Not really sure, but I’ve heard people say Europe basically plays the game in a completely different way than in the States. More emphasis on passing, ball movement, and team-oriented styles of play compared to here where the focus is more on scoring and ball handling.
Maybe that style translates better?

Two things can be true:
1. WW is legally exploiting the loose recruiting rules in a way that will help LSU win games.
2. It’s not as fun cheering for a bunch of mid-20s foreign mercenaries as it is guys like Skylar Mays, Javonte Smart, Darius Days, etc.
Acknowledging #2 doesn’t make anyone less of a fan. It’s just the sad state of college sports right now. I’m fine with Wade exploiting it temporarily but I hope some serious guardrails are put in place so it doesn’t ruin the sport.

Thanks for explaining. That basketball interview with him caught me off guard. He was making eye contact with the interviewer and saying yes sir. I wouldn’t have pictured many gangbanger types doing that. Hope we get confirmation soon.

Without us fans, most of these athletes would be worth $0 (zero) dollars. At some point fan satisfaction will need to be taken into consideration if college sports is going to survive. Unlimited transfers and pay for play will eventually ruin the sports we love if left unchecked.
Not my money and I’m thankful we have rich donors willing to pony up, but man it’s a travesty what college sports has become.
