I really thought Hines was going to be a star at guard after seeing him in action as a true freshman.

So,does cregg get the praise for Hines and dare?

Hines was always going to start over kardell and bradford.
As far as making bradford lose weight, I'm sure he is doing everything he can.

Bradford has that big build.
He has a lot of talent.

There are only 5 to 10 difference makers as offensive lineman. These are not my words. They are from Saban. We got one and are working on a second.

Since this is on the Recruiting Page, I've often heard that the Louisiana High Schools don't create good lineman due to the style of offense played. What can LSU do to pique the interest of more of the big guys to embrace the position and develop their skills? More camps for Junior High level folks to be exposed to the necessary skill sets? It just doesn't seem right with as many excellent LA players per capita to be so devoid of talent ready for the next level.

You are insane!! We have dellinger the highest rated Olineman or OT lsu has had since 2017. Then you add in Leigh the highest rated OL since 2011 Collins??? Lol lsu will be fine they are attracting too lineman just need one then to show him improving then gate will begin opening... Fyi same goes for byrd lsu has not ever had three guys in the same recruiting class rated this high at OT. If lsu pulls this class off with dellinger, Leigh, byrd, Jackson, smith, foreman then watch out we may be back for real in the trenches like we have not been since 2000 or 2007 type seasons

Parker may go along the lines of Sullivan and regret he did not switch positions and get solid playing time resulting in better draft grade

We’re likely going to pick up two top flight tackles

I wish people would follow recruiting before bringing stuff like this to the board.

Doesn’t it appear that Leigh is trending OU?

3 per class we are also going after Byrd hard

We needed 4-5 this year to restock our depth. Running a successful program doesn't just require getting highly rated recruits, you also need to not have holes. Ask Mark Richt why he never won anything at UGA, he was the worst at that IMO and it was a major problem with Miles also.

I mean.... We did get a top 5 Offensive tackle from michigan on board that had offers from damn near every major school out there...

We also signed a few big time O lineman in last years class as well. I know the line has struggled but they are literally as green as could be at nearly every spot. Ed Ingram is about the only real quality player out there right now. And Dare Rosenthal is now out of the picture and we're replacing him with first time starters with zero experience...

The line will be much better next season as will just about every position group as well. This 2020 team was in the worst possible position it could've been after losing all the players it did and then having no spring to install anything. And we're seeing the results now...

After the incoming class is added to next season's team and paired with the players that take the leap into being quality players after this hard knock life type of season you will see a much improved overall squad.

The defense will add in the top 2 safeties overall, along with potential 3 linebackers all ranked in the top 10 at their position. So help is on the way in a very big way. It says a lot that coach O is putting together a class that's already in the top 3 and depending on the finish could very well end up being the top class overall if certain chips were to fall our way. Adding Maason Smith and Tristan Leigh to this class would make next years squad a real threat

Quit making so much sense. You are spot on. I don't understand why we don't sign 5 Oline guys every year. It is a position that has a lot of "misses". We often sign more LBs than Olinemen.

Good post, although your last sentence might be expecting too much from guys in their freshman year. Both those guys will be studs in time, but it is a tall task to have an impact in the trenches as a freshman.

I’m still baffled as to how we won this award. We didn’t even have the best o line in the conference let alone country.

I think it is the challenge of having to change the line-up every game and team success. I think there is a difference between a successful offensive line and a dominant offensive line. LSU had a very successful OL last year, but not a dominant OL. And they played better at the end of the year.
This is how you win the award. Team success, challenges overcome, and improvement across the season.

I haven't seen him out there in a Saints uniform.... It would be cool if he were a Saint though.
