My latest on Herron...NOT committed to UT

Sorry for any confusion. This is what I just received:
I won't post any more on this...I guess my original post was "stretched" info that was giving to me, and at the time, UT was probably feeling good given the circumstances. I should have used vague recruiting service jargon to cover my butt. Sorry

Hey, sorry for the delayed response. I spoke with ******* and effectively he thinks it is a coin flip. Herron didn't commit to UT but then again he took an official to Texas the weekend before national signing day. He also pointed out that he went on the visit and didn't inform his highschool coach or the LSU staff about it. The thing that Texas is offering is playing time (less competition then LSU) currently. Apparently the kid also wants to major in broadcasting and the ESPN studio on campus coupled with internships is a big deal.

You're forgiven
Just don't let it happen again..

As always thanks for the info. Personally, I think if he didn't commit while there, he is ours still. Not sure why he wanted to make it so secretive, but coming home not committing to them is good news for us.

Didn't know about the journalism aspect of it, but from experience I guarantee the one flip he'll make will be his major. These kids have no clue what they want to do with their lives.

so what you're saying is LSU's chance of losing Herron is about equal to LSU's chance of landing Nkemdiche.
I'll take those odds.

The LHN is a total failure up to this point but it is still a big time recruiting advantage for Texas.

It's still pretty amazing that the NCAA allows for it.

Come on, Chicken.
You copied that DIRECTLY from a Torshiro thread last year.
We'll see if it turns out the same. As much time as gone by though, and it's the first time he's seen Texas and has been recruiting by Texas, it all seems like a whim. He could flip for all I know, but just doesn't seem like a smart decision.
I like the part about "competition" when LSU is losing that many DL this year.

I'd be willing to bet he will be watching RN's announcement. I don't think we are going through Wednesday with them both in this class.
If we shock the world and RN picks LSU, I think Herron heads to Austin. If RN goes play with his bro, then Herron comes here
