re: Sony Bravia tvs. Yea or nea?

I have a 40" Sony Bravia I bought from circuit city before I ever heard of tigerdroppings and it's still going strong.
If they still have that kind of build quality couldn't recommend them more

toss an ice cube in your preheated dutch oven before you put your proofed dough in there
it'll give you better oven spring and a better crust

re: Mason Taylor is going to be an all-time great

I mean yeah he's great now
but in 10 years when he's killing it in the NFL we're still going to be talking about how great he was at LSU
in 20 years when he's retired we're still going to be talking about how great he was at LSU

I'm out at 6.34. will keep an eye on it to get back in because I have a feeling it gets worse before it gets better.

SLI's tech can be used on other brine resources elsewhere in the world.
This is actually the thing that got me started investing in STLHF earlier this year around $3. It's the differentiator.
At the time I imagined a company like ALB acquiring them but now I see very lucrative partnerships in their future.
Anyway, hi folks.

it's sitting on top of Grand Bahama through multiple tide cycles. The water has receded only to come back up a few times already.
This kind of repeated force can weaken structures over time... and cause a lot more damage than just the initial hit would indicate.

At what point if the northern turn doesn’t start should my folks in Lakeland, FL be concerned?
It's going to turn north. They should be concerned about heavy showers and thunderstorms from feeder bands though.

1 mph wow. Didn’t know that was possible
Yeah. If you started walking westward in the eye* at a casual pace as soon as the eastern eyewall made landfall eastern Grand Bahama, you'd have outrun the storm and would have made it to the western eyewall by now.
*don't do this

It looks like the slight interaction with land and the forces stalling the storm to drive it north are hindering the strom’s development a little. But it’s still extremely powerful.
there's also an ongoing eyewall replacement that's helping decrease the maximum winds. The eye is looking a bit ragged on radar now as a result... but it could regain some intensity as it pulls off of Grand Bahama this afternoon.

Woke up this am hoping to see something from the people on the Abacos. Still nothing. Heart breaking.
They're pretty much cut off from any communications... and with the slow moving storm still overhead they probably won't get anyone in or out until later this week.
I'm terrified to see what's going to happen to Grand Bahama after 24+ hours of cat 4-5 winds.

speaking in chinese feels like you're speaking with a mouthful of water the whole time. I tried to pick it up but decided I'd rather not drown in my own saliva

interesting how far east the gfs op is than the gefs right now
feels like a little bit of an outlier, but I have seen this behavior as a precursor to a trend in the past. Luckily it's still pretty far out to allow for track adjustments.

if you're on the coast north of Miami, get out. Easy. People can whine all they want, at least they're alive to whine.

say this thing stays off the coast and the eye wall misses Fla....heads up Savannah to Charleston.
if it takes that path there's a good chance it continues hooking out to sea. At least the loss of life/property will be minimal, but it'll still be a coastal erosion nightmare
but that's a long way out, not a forecast.
