Couldn't this also be spun as the program that really should be working hard to land him isn't and the program that could be taking it easy, as in LSU, also isn't?

1000% agree. LSU has his commitment, they shouldn't be expected to have to be continuing to push for him to keep it realistically. They are focused on this season. Nebraska would be expected to be pressing extra hard to try to get a flip. That's what it sounds like in my opinion

It’s the dead period, sounds like one school isn’t following the rules.

Sounds like Lane might be getting tired of this diva

I think Hudsons comment had a little more attention than he wanted. No big deal hear. Just a comment. I trust what Lane wants to do either way..

I'm really tired of commits thinking they need to be put to bed and told stories every night by the HC. You committed. LSU has a season to prepare for. Focus on your HS team for the next few months.

Me, too. Why does recruiting need to be a competition between who can give you the most attention, even after you've committed? Their job is to sell you on the program, and it seems they must have done a good job with that. But now they have to keep reminding you that they care? What do you want? Get over yourself and make a decision. Change your mind if something football related merits a change, not based on who gives you an obligatory courtesy call every day.

Dead period doesnt mean no contact, just no in-person contact by coaches

maybe they clarify in the article, but that quote reads like a shot to Nebraska to me, no?

why would anyone expect LSU "to be doing their job to try and get him to come there" when he is already committed?

Well he can carry his arse to Nebraska and find out the hard way that is not where he will excel and freeze his arse off in the process or shut up and stay committed to LSU where he will have a true opportunity in a Lane offense to become a 1st or 2nd round pick…

We have a Chicken Little fanbase who rush to the board and criticize the kids. You all are right; you could never be a coach or recruiter. I was a Navy recruiter, which is one of the hardest jobs in the Navy. I had to adapt to whatever my recruits needed me to be on any given day until I got them on that plane. Working with 17- and 18-year-olds, especially with social media involved, can be challenging. You all need to relax!

The question is “why is he SEEKING attention”. Are these kids these days so dependent on how many clicks they get? Geez.

If (and I doubt) he chooses NEBRASKA over LSU, then I would question his sanity.

As I understand on his last Nebraska visit they bumped the offer above LSU’s. Seems like he’s making sure LSU knows this too.

Bro it’s football season. You’re gonna have to wait. Lane and staff have bigger fish to fry right now. FFS

Sounds like he's looking for more "love" aka spending money while he's high school.

As for football, Lane can find other TE's.

As for basketball, WW can find other forwards.

I'd like to have Ahmad, but is he so valuable that you get into a bidding war over him?

It is also directly related to the amount of transfers you see. These kids demand constant praise and attention as recruits and then are shocked to learn they are 1 of 100 when they get to school and.....gasp.....may not be praised and celebrated every moment of the day.
