It’s not about why you should do it.
It’s that if you can’t do it, then you probably are not doing enough cardio.
A person that does nothing but sprints and other HIIT type cardio should still be able to run 3 miles FWIW
But I’d argue that being able to run 3 miles is just as practical as training to pick up or squat 400 lbs

Wtf would I ever need to run 3 miles for?

The best cardio is swimming and heavy bag work.

If you swim an hour a day, you'll be in great cardio shape, but you won't be able to run 3 miles right out of the gate.

You may not be quick at it, but I’d say you’d be able to do it.

Sprinting is better than jogging.

I disagree.
A person that swims an hour a day, unless they have some sort of other issues like knee injury or something, should be able to run 3 miles.

Doubt you will find many that disagree with you

Running is not good for you.
The only relevant heuristic for hydration is: drink when you're thirsty.

Instagram is largely responsible for the pickup in fitness related activities nowadays but is more harmful to fitness than it is helpful. It gives people unreal expectations and bogus “plans” to get people fit, when in reality the people are either juicing or doing something totally different than their forcefed plan.

this is one thing i do not like about the gram. People diet down, take a bunch of pictures and use them all year like they stay ripped year around. It has given unrealistic expectations and it has people believing they can stay ripped and continue to grow.

Burpees are stupid and disrespectful.

4 sets of 20 reps each heavy arse stationary dumbbell lunges with straps did more for overall leg development for me than squats every did! Now I’d usually do 5-8 sets of squats, above mentioned lunges, then 4-5 sets of heavy leg press. But the development of stabilizer muscles and the ability to target different quad and glute groups specifically with the lunges was priceless!

Oh I got a good one a PT told me one time. A combination of doing front squats, sumo squats, and hack squats are superior than back squats. That ones gonna piss some people off

Hack squats always fricked up my back and knees, but I know what everyone is gonna say-PROPER FORM!lol
