Hack squats always fricked up my back and knees, but I know what everyone is gonna say-PROPER FORM!lol
You should never do a squat on a machine, IMO. You're asking for an injury making a squat a fixed movement pattern.

i agree for the most part exceptions would be belt squats and then the rogers power squat pro as it has a floating yoke that allows you to do a natural squat.
advanced people are fine using machines as they know how to position the body to make it work. most suck though lol.

I have to use a Smith Machine for squats. It's at a slight angle instead of straight up and down.

Lots of supposed remedies for what ails you fitness wise - PT, icing, heat, etc. is often just passing time while your body naturally reverts to its healthier mean.

There is only one vegetable I love and that is the bell pepper.

This thought came to me today based on self experience... Portion sizes do not matter, but the food you eat does.

I disagree.
A person that swims an hour a day, unless they have some sort of other issues like knee injury or something, should be able to run 3 miles
I'm with you.
When I was 16 I had just finished football spring training so of course I could run forever. Had to do a ton of swimming laps to qualify for lifeguard class. I ended up having to gut it out to qualify and learned then that swimming is far superior to typical running.

My drill sergeant loved making us do squat thrusts....... we didn’t stand at attention when a single gold bar walked into the room, bastard set us up! 200 squat thrusts February 1984 hadn’t done one since.

I think it's popular but Crossfit pullups are not real.

Don't look. It's better you have ignorance.

Here's another unpopular opinion. For sports/athletic performance training, you don't need barbell deadlifts. In fact, the time spent teaching form is probably counterproductive and there are better options.

I missed this reply. I think the second portion of my statement is more important than the first. It is very difficult for an individual to gain weight eating only whole foods. This individual would have to resort to smoothies, juices and oils to put on weight. If not, they would be stuffed from the fiber, protein, and/or water content of real foods. I wish the study would be done because unfortunately, I only have anecdotal evidence. This doesn’t mean that the calories in vs calories out is incorrect, but it does mean that it’s incredibly hard to take in enough nutrient dense, calorie poor foods to put on weight. It all comes back to either what you eat or how much you eat. But it does not have to be both. If one were to eat the right foods, then portion sizes don’t matter. Eat until you almost barf and the weight will still come off. That has been my experience.
