LaTour Ownership Sucks

If you listen to Trey, the LaTour course was devasted by Hurricane Ida. This is not true. The course is in prime condition. A lawyer who has been retained by several LaTour members in anticipation of a class action lawsuit, chartered a helicopter and a professional photo/videographer to fly over the course earlier this week. The course is closed to its members and paying public not because of damage from the hurricane, but because Trey decided to rent the parking lot to contractors working on storm damage in south Louisiana. He went so far as to block the roadway into the clubhouse so the public could not see what he was doing. Anyone that knows Trey, knows he only cares about money and his word means nothing. In my opinion, he has become an expert at reaping rewards at the expense of the misfortunes of others. When he acquired the LaTour he talked about bringing a championship level course to south Louisiana and continuing the dreams of John Brady. From hiring his friend’s wife with no golf and management experience to allowing employees sexual shenanigans and fighting on the course, he turned Mr. Brady’s dream into a nightmare. I surely wish he would sell the course to the two gentlemen with very deep pockets that want to buy it and make what John Brandy inspired become a reality.

When you can your legit head pro for not being able to control your superintendent whom is also your good friend and didn’t report to the head pro only to hire your wife’s friend who has no golf experience, i think it’s safe to say you have no clue what you’re doing. If the above is true you can add scumbag to the list as well.

I’m not thrilled with what’s happened to the place in the last 5-8 years, but he owns the land, course and club. He can do whatever he wants as long as he isn’t still collecting pass holder fees

Well ain’t that some shite.
I applaud the members/HOA baws for the helicopter move — but wonder if that would be admissible in court due to trespassing (air rights)

I’ve played several rounds on LaT and enjoyed all of them. It’s a great track. I would be fairly pissed if this place goes to shite.
