So do we!!
re: On the flip side of Sonny Styles, Ruben Bain is off my list.

Staley isn’t running a 2 gap system so his edges aren’t really dropping in coverage. You also see him utilize 4 dlineman. What you see Fangio run in Philly is what the ideal edge dline you would ideally have here. Bain wouldn’t be lined up over a guard or really dropping into coverage.

You just didn’t watch enough of him. Also, he had the flu against ole Miss. That was well known before the game even started. And he did okay against Indiana? 8 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1 sack. Yeah, an okay game. It’s fine if you don’t like the player but Jesus.

Bain is a bit of an anomaly. You aren’t a gm and that’s obvious but he does have short arms. Alarmingly short arms. Then you look at his other measurables. Hes 6’2 and came in at 262 lbs. He’s built like a tank. He’s also a master technician. You also look at how he played against the best competition last year and he absolutely dominated people. He’s going to slip and I’m not sure the saints would draft him but this arm thing is a bit overblown imo.

There’s always a dude who’s a workout warrior who jumps up a ton due to his workout in tights. This time it came from a player that is an absolute baller on the field. This his Julio Jones type prospect at linebacker

But he’s not. I like Tyson but that is an absolute no there.

So no off ball linebacker but a running back? According to your logic that’s comical. Tate nor Tyson are that good to not draft him.

What? What offensive playmaker do you think they should take at 8?

He was one of my top guys in the draft but man, he may be the best player in this draft. He even looks bigger than Reese.

Wasted pick? We need a 5 tech to replace Cam. The 5 is the edge on that side. Faulk is truly the type of player we have a hole at. Hes almost a clone of Cam coming out of college. Wild to call that a wasted pick. Faulk is a freak and people are only looking at his stats. Auburn moved him a lot to play DT in a 2 gap system cause they needed him too. Not sure you’ve watch Faulk play if you feel that way. Broughton is a 3 tech really.

Olave doesn’t need to play X. They need to move Olave around. That’s the point. I like guys like Cooper and Bell more than I like Lemon.

Well, you may like it but, there is a thing called positional value. Styles is a game wrecker though and he’s a hybrid player. He can play on the edge, he can cover, and he’s great against the run. I’d say his positional value is high in today’s game.

I have a bit more on my list and I’m not the biggest fan of Lemon. Not saying he won’t be good but we already have an undersized wr. This team needs a true X.
The name everyone may want to get used to the idea of is Faulk. He fits the mold and position we value highly. I can see this being the pick.

Been drooling over styles for a while. He will i instantly make any defense better. He can cover and do everything around the line of scrimmage. People keep saying “he won’t be there at 8” when you mention any prospect right now. The truth is there’s going to be one hell of a player falling to us and i can see us even jumping Washington if one of these pass rushers fall. Styles, Pete, Stutsman would be pretty damn good.

Don’t agree with ignoring the position all together. This team needs a pass rusher, wr, interior lineman, and maybe even a MLB if DD walks more so than a running back.

Nobody moves the needle when they aren’t known. I remember when Scheffler was starting and people made fun of his swing and thought he was boring.
People have become so focused on drama and excitement and I’d say you’re not a true fan of golf. There’s a lot of things that happen that aren’t exciting in golf. One of them can be when some new golfer comes and dominates a tournament through 3 rounds and has a 6 shot lead. That’s golf. Don’t watch it if you don’t like it but, the Tour doesn’t need to change anything to focus on your ADD and needed for constant action.

re: Javonte Williams contract is why Love should not be the pick at 8

I absolutely love Faulk. He really reminds me of Cam when he came out. I don’t know why he isn’t getting more love from people. He is a freak and he’s gonna be over 6’5 and 275 pounds. Auburn moved him all around last year and played him alot on the interior. He’s your perfect 5 tech. He’s elite against the run and needs to develop more in his pass rush. IMO he is going to play in this league a long time.
re: Alontae got ragebaited on TikTok live about his contract
Posted by RawDog7984 on 2/25/26 at 8:43 am to Proximo
You always overpay when you don’t get out ahead of these contracts. We are always late to the game in extending our guys mainly because we’ve been so cash strapped. I know the saints have been negotiating with him for the last year so i think they have a number in mind and aren’t budging. Let him walk. This is why i can see a player like Downs being the pick. Moving Sanker to Nickel possibly. We can’t overpay him.
re: Sean Payton gives up playcalling role
Posted by RawDog7984 on 2/24/26 at 8:33 pm to Proximo
Correct. When he broke his leg and tore ligaments Carmichael called the plays and kept that role even when Payton came back. I believe it may have happened one other time but this isn’t total newsworthy. Webb will be there maybe 1-2 more years and Payton will be running the show i assume when that happens.

I’m shocked people dont realize that he gave it to Carmichael a couple of seasons during his tenure here. Webb is an up and coming offensive mind. They just went to the AFCCG and lost their qb going into it. How on earth anyone thinks this ks the end of him in Denver is comical. He’s still a top 2-3 coach in football.

Pray the jets go full tard and take him at 2 and let one of the pass rushers fall to us.
