The starch shirts, way too short wearing folks sure like to attack people. I really do appreciate each of you cult members proving my point about CCA of Louisiana. Never can you make an honest justification for factually negative things CCA of Louisiana has done. Your only hand to play is attacking someone with lies and claims you know little about-Exactly what CCA of Louisiana does.
So, again, I thank you all for the name calling, the false accusations, the statements of misinformation, and your refusal to answer questions-WOW, just like CCA of Louisiana does when it does show up in Baton Rouge and Washington.
OH, and by the way, we have laughed at CCA of Louisiana in both Baton Rouge and Washington. If either of you would loosen up those way too small shorts, and girly belt and read and listen to reports which are public record, you would not only be hearing the laugher, but you yourself would laugh.

Wizard, I do not have to hope for CCA of Louisiana to fail, it does that all my itself. In fact, our group donates significant sums to CCA of other States and helps them on political issues if we can. Think about this, Motorboat, a full-blown cult member did not even know the names of the groups that have been representing the Menhaden industry for over ten years. You really think these clowns keep its members informed.
You are bragging about 20,000 members. Louisiana sold over 755,000 licenses last year. Do you realize that is less than 3% of paid fishermen that have join these clowns. You really believe menhaden industry does not bring this to the attention of elected officials. Theee are numerous records of this being told to elected officials in Louisiana and Washington, just research the Legislative Bureau Records and Congressional Hearing Records),
There are over 200 elected state officials in Louisiana, and you really believe 20,000 uninformed members have political power., Incidentally, Landry was elected without a runoff by over 270,000 votes. A little common sense goes a long way.
As to our group, we are 10-15 people, who accept no donations, but are activity involved in helping wounded Veterans as it relates to utilizing the outdoors. We do get to laugh quite a bit at comments by elected officials mocking CCA of Louisiana.

Novastar: great post, thanks for doing so. The only thing elected officials like more than money are votes. That is why it is important to contact your respective officials.
bbvdd: Many groups work together. However, as I stated before no legit group, regardless of its' mission will work with CCA of Louisiana. It's credibility is shot.

Motorboat, thanks for proving my point again about CCA. If a blowhard like you does not know those initials (not acronyms) it shows how very little engaged CCA of Louisiana is with its members. These two groups have been at the forefront for many years lobbying for the Menhaden industry and a "well informed" member like you has no idea what or who these groups are.
Very well said Wizard!
BGR- BGR Group is the lobbying firm (a very good one) who often represents MFC and other commercial fishing industries in Washington.

Motorboat, thanks again for proving my point about CCA of Louisiana and its blowhards.
And again, you lied. I never said anything about be being a heavy hitter, I am just honest and have gain credibility with elected officials, unlike your Cult.
For various reason, I am not at liberty to mentioned anyone invited to the breakfast. Anyone can easily ask their representatives about attendance. But I can assure you MFC and BGR are working in Washington very hard against this bill.

Motorboat, the thread left sanity when you began your numerous lies, personal attacks and your refusal to answer any legit questions. But again, I thank you for proving all my points correctly.
FYI: Saturday morning there was a power breakfast in Baton Rouge with regards to strategies involving HB 855. Orgeron, as said before has and is still doing an excellent jog. Numerous political heavyweights were involved, including two from Washington. It looks like this bill has a chance, but everyone needs to get in touch with their respective elected officials.
Incidentally, seven different groups were invited to this meeting, but CCA of Louisiana was not one. In fact, when someone asked why that was so, one of the DC boys stated: "Do you want this bill to get killed in committee", this was met with numerous chuckles and a firm understanding what this statement met.

Motorboat:
I want to sincerely thank you for your last post; it literally proves everything I have been saying about CCA of Louisiana and its blowhard followers. It also establishes why from Baton Rouge to Washington; it is known as the Capitol Clowns Association. Finally, it shows why no one in the political arena wants anything to do with this Texas organization.
How is that, you should ask: Every time CCA of Louisiana is asked about an accurate fact that sheds it in a bad light, it can never answer honestly, it lies, it fabrics falsehoods and then attacks the person asking the questions, and always it never answers the original question.
So, looking at your last post, what have you done:
1. CCA diddled me-Not true, I just don't like liars
2. Called me 80-I am 58, another one of your lies
3. Broken Record-I am only responding to your vast lies
4. Broken Man-Since you do not even know me, how can you allege such an insult,
5. You never once answered the truthful allegations made against CCA of Louisiaa-You cannot because those allegations are recorded in official court, congressional and legislative bureau records.
So, thanks so much for proving me right. Now, mom said it is getting late so you must get out the garage and go inside and do you choirs.

Wizard. . .Your first sentence is factually incorrect. CC of Louisiana has actually done some damage in lobbying efforts of legit conservative groups, since some political officials will never do anything that CCA of Louisiana asked, since they have been lied to on so many occasions.
Everything else you stated is 100% correct.
Everything else you stated is 100% correct.
It is obvious you live in a dream world. You have no clue why CCA of Louisiana refused to get involved with private vs public waterways nor the rig to reef program. So, next meeting asks your highly paid leaders, then report back and I will publish the sworn testimony showing the real reasons.
I do not brag about my education, you insulted me, so I told you about myself. A typical CCA of Louisiana lie tactice-Make falsé claims when you cannot argue the facts, then lie and state you never made those claims.
Vets do get benefits, but not enough and getting them is not an easy task. Getting non-resident licenses for 25 vets and they guest, 10 times a year, is not an easy task. But you don't know anything about hard work, you just like insulting people who state proven facts about a group you idolize that has been lying to you and others since its inception.
Mom's calling, go back in your parents' garage. .

Motormouth, the best you got is mocking me for a misspelled word. This is why legit groups do not partner with CCA of Louisiana for lobbying efforts.
At your next "Come to Jesus" meeting, ask your fearless leaders why they never took a political stance on the rigs-to-reefs program, also ask them why despite the very language of its mission statement, they never took a stance on what is considered private vs public waterways. Then report back here on what they told the few fools in the audience. Thereafter, I may publish so sworn testimony to show you and your foolish co-harts the real reason it refuses to take a stance on these two important issues.
What we do, unlike CCA of Louisiana is charity. Why do we need lobbying-Becasue we believe veterans should not need hunting and fishing licenses for each state we take them, regardless of their residence. They defended, some with their lives, others with their limbs, the entire country. We believe they should have better care for non-visible injuries; we believe they should be respected in natural death and their respected families afforded help if so needed. We believe they should have better opportunities when they are discharge, like housing, education and employment.
These men and women fought and served so people like you can get behind a keyboard in your parent's garage and say whatever you want to say, even when its false.
Oh, and by the way, I have one undergraduate degree form LSU, one doctorate degree from LSU, and a post doctorate degree from Tulane. I apologize for being so unwise that I inadvertently misspelled "Rouge".
It is very tough to have an intelligent argument with an unarmed man.

It really is a fun course. I am not sure it still exists, but one hole had a sand trap in te middle of the green. Have fun.
No legitimate group, with real credentials in the lobbying industry is every going to partner with CCA of Louisiana because of its reputation in Baton Roge and Washington. Our group and many others have worked closely with CCA's of Georgia, Florida and Alabama.
Motorboat, you just don't stop running your mouth and making a fool out of yourself. A wise man once stated it is best to be considered a fool than opening your mouth and proving it.
I don't hate CCA of Louisiana, I hate that they constantly lie to their members, to politicians and the general public, not only in the past, but presently.
Do you realize it was one of only a few 501C corps that refused to release their payroll numbers to the public? When the numbers were finally made public (not by CCA of Louisiana's choosing), it was understandably easy to see why for 35 years it refused to do so.
.
I don't support the menhaden industry in any manner. Our group is not large, about 10-15 members, that spend our time and resources lobbing for special need folks and wounded veterans, while letting them experience the outdoors around this country at no cost to them. In addition, our board does not make 300-550k a year, it is all voluntary, like every member of our group. In fact, we never ask for any donations and use our own money. We do however support real conservation efforts by real conservation groups.
Quit using the CCA of Louisiana MO, lie, and then lie again, then attack the messenger, I guess that is all that can be done, when you cannot use facts.

Motorboat, I see again you cannot tell the truth. CCA of Louisiana is a Texas group that does what is best for its top-level members. If you believe CCA is leading the Menhaden push, you should really consider how bad this organization really is since recreational fishermen or getting pounded. Maybe then you will see how much of a laughingstock this group is in the political sector.
Not really am not sure of what t"en-year ago" issue you are talking about, but that is usually what CCA blowhards do-make stuff up when they cannot defend the facts.
To answer the previously poised question of who is leading the push-the unfortunate answer right now is the Menhaden industry.

You must go to many CCA revivals because you learned very good to attack a messenger when you cannot challenge the facts when it comes to defending the Texas corporation known as CCA of Louisiana.
Only one of seven fishermen actually join the CCA of Louisiana and 85% of those only joined for a chance at a prize in the STAR event.
I would never waste my time and resources trying to divide such a small population. So, and as many times before, you are wrong.
My message is clear, don't trust the CCA of Louisiana, everyone should make their own effort to personally contact their respective elected officials.

As usual, Motorboat is full of false accusations, a trait very common to the CCA blowhards. I never said anything about politicians not lying, I simply stated CCA has lied enough to these politicians that it is no longer trusted. Loosen up your tight shorts and read a little slower, it will help your reading comprehension.
Another familiar CCA blowhard trait is that instead of defending CCA, it attacks the messenger. I ask you Mr. Motormouth, what have I said about CCA that is not true. I do not hate CCA, I hate CCA of Louisiana, a Texas corporation who parades around as a recreational fishermen's friend, and it is clearly only friends to its three top executives who gross over 1M a year.

Everyone can have their own opinion about the character of a politician, whether national, statewide or locally. But I can assure everyone that one characteristic each and every politician has is that if you lie to them in session/committee/subcommittee, they will never believe anything you say again.
CCA of Louisiana lied on the record about being a Louisiana Corporation, lied about the nature of tits experts' qualifications lied about graph and charts it created, and even lied about their top three "executives" salaries.
No one told me this, I was there, both in Washington and in Baton Rouge.
That is why CCA of Louisiana is known as the Capitol Clown Association-again, not my words but that of many politicians and their respective staff members.
My only humble suggestion is contact your local, state and federal representative, then followup wih that contact.

Motorboat, I can say the same thing about you and your lies about CCA. I am not trying to sow any division, I have asked you before and I will ask you now, what have I ever said about CCA that is not true?
What I am doing is letting people know that each should take a role i contacting their respective legislators. If anyone waits for CCA, the result will be the same. Nothing done from a legislative perspective, and the Louisiana Sportsman show will be full of heavily starch red shirts, wearing funning looking shoes and belts, with way too short shorts, bragging about the gill net ban which was enacted over two years before CCA was even organized.
In Washington and in BR, CCA is regarded as the Capitol Clown Association-Not my words, but that of numerous elected officials and their respective office staff members

The seeds CCA has sown is poison ivy. They have no leverage, no respect and universally not trusted by state and federal elected officials.

I appreciate the advice. We do have some solar setups, but in some bottoms, solar just does not work.
