But the OT tells me Hammond & Ponchy aren’t going downhill and are great places to live, this cannot be.

Jokes aside BR isn’t nearly as bad as folks on here make it out to be. The 225 has a lot going for it. Sure it isn’t perfect but there’s definitely much worse out there.

After 25 years, I found there in nothing to be jealous about on the Northshore. All about $ and keeping up with the Jones.

We agree, stay where you are. Northshore is a dump.

You talking about the same Mandeville where the police officer was gunned down a few years ago at a traffic stop? That Mandeville?

Yeah that 1 incident in 2019, quite the reach there baw.

OP, I would encourage you to visit the Target’s & Walmart’s in Hammond vs the ones in Covington/Mandeville. That will tell you everything you need to know. I recently had to go to Hammond to pick up items at Target & WM and it’s night & day. You can just drive around the parking lots and look at the cars.
I can promise you that gang shootout yall had downtown a few weeks ago ain’t happening in Mandeville baw, but keep sticking your head in the sand.
You may love it but to call it a “great little town” is certainly a stretch. Per capita it’s got one of the highest crime rates in the state. I’m sure there are good parts, but I personally would never want to encourage someone to move to a city that’s clearly on a downward trajectory.

Hammond is a great little town

Spoken like someone who went to college there 30 years ago and hasn’t been back. Place is nothing but strip malls now and ghetto as hell. It will look like Laplace in 10 years.

Covington/Mandeville area is a bit pricey for me

Just the way we like it. Work hard, move up in your career and save up, then we’ll consider your application.
Played the bridges yesterday and the greens are rolling great. I find it very very hard to believe they were in “horrible condition” 2 months ago. If so the super is a genius. More likely this clown doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
I left em. More of a pain in the arse to try and patch the holes and paint than just buy new mounts.
Birdseed finally got his foreman pay and he still ain’t happy.

I was also with cap one for the $1500 bonus, just moved it over to E Trade…$400 bonus and 4% for 6 months.
His recipe calls for 3 cups of rice and 6 cups of broth/water. How many lbs of pasta and cups of broth/water should I use? Using rotini if that matters. TIA

FIFY

Anyone who has spent any significant time in St John over the past 10+ years is not surprised at all by the current crime rate.

They only care about $$$$ over there

Honestly it sounds like they need to raise the initiation and/or dues. Demand is too high.

I agree though, I would never join a club where I couldn’t get a decent tee time. We have an app and availability opens up at 5 am a couple days before, just wake up early and get any time you want.

That’s what you call a sign from the golf gods my friend. Tell her to make some sammiches and you’ll see her after your round.
