I have used Tony’s for so long I forgot how good old plain Black Pepper can be for a dish.

Tony's can really alter the flavor of a dish negatively if not used right. Coarse black pepper and salt really allows whatever your cooking to be seasoned well and still taste the dish how it was cooked. Tony's is good for liquid dishes and drowning out the natural flavor of meats and vegetables.

I use Tony's on my chicken tenders, fries, ramen, mac and cheese.

fresh ground pepper gang here. Use it in everything.

If we are talking about underrated spice, white pepper gets my vote.

The amount of sodium in Tony’s is disgusting. It’s not hard to properly season food without using a seasoning blend. At minimum make your own version of the blend to use and cut out like 2/3rds of the salt.

I rarely use Tony's or similar mixed seasoning. I can't recall the last time I did. The pre-mixed seasonings I use most often, when I use a pre-mixed seasoning, are Cavender's and Nature's Seasoning. I really like those two.

Salt, black pepper, white pepper, cayenne, granulated garlic and granulated onion are the non herb seasonings I use most often.

100%

I put lots of black pepper on my food to the point where some people think I'm a little nuts. But, I never understood it when you watch a cooking show and they season a large pot of something with a couple cranks of a pepper mill. Why even add that amount of pepper if you know you won't even be able to taste it?

I add coarsely ground pepper to almost everything nowadays. It’s helped me to cut back on adding salt to everything.

I’ve been using this to help me use less salt. Pretty damned good.

Use Tony’s as a substitute for salt. Never forget the black pepper.
