Chicken if I’m buying
Egg if I’m making
Tuna if it’s fresh
Canned tuna if it’s day 30 stranded on a deserted island.

The supermarket over here chops up grapes and mixes it in the chicken salad and it’s legit.

I prefer my chicken salad without apple, grapes, etc. Pecans/Walnuts are ok, but simple mayo, mustard, celery salt/pepper, dill pickle. The family recipe has cream cheese instead of mayo.
Tuna is mayo, mustard, egg, dill pickle, salt/pepper
Sweet pickle isn’t a hard no, but by far not my preference.

Tuna. It has to be premium or albacore though. No cat food.

It’s weird, because I like the taste of chicken better than Tuna, but when mixed for a salad sandwich, Tuna takes the lead.
Same here. Exactly. But very heavy on how it's made.
I had an aunt that would put sweet relish in with tuna salad. That was pretty good.

Chicken before the egg.
Interesting.
Sorry, bad yolk... Er... Joke. Had to do it.

Personally I wouldn’t buy any of the three sandwiches if made at a restaurant.
If premade in a container, chicken salad would be my choice, but I seldom buy it.
If it’s me making it, tuna and chicken salad would be tied, egg salad closely behind.
Pimento cheese isn’t an option, but if I’m not making it then Palmetto Pimento cheese (either jalapeño or pepper jack) would probably rate higher than tuna, chicken, or egg salad.

Here is my Tuna Salad recipe
1.5lb chopped celery
1.5lb diced onion
2.25lb tuna squeeze all excess water out
1/2 cup Soy sauce
3 cups mayo
Makes a lot but the soy sauce makes the difference

Chicken
Tuna
Egg
But I would put turkey salad above chicken salad. My wife makes turkey noodle soup and turkey salad with leftover Thanksgiving turkey -- best part.

just had a bowl of tuna salad for lunch (no bread).
Tuna
Mayo
Spicy pickles and jalapenos chopped
green onions
smoke salt and pepper.
Chipotle Tabasco sauce
I'm gonna have to try that soy sauce version!

Fresh homemade chicken salad made with one of those big azz rotisserie chickens from Sam's deboned and chopped fine or run through a food processor (don't turn it to mush). Has to have at least a dozen boiled eggs, a tad of pickle relish, a bit of spicy mustard and plenty of mayo.
NO....diced celery, onion or apples.

Yasss! I only eat humanely caught (with organic natural hemp string...no disgusting plastic mono or flouro) stress relieved Dogtooth Tuna.

turkey is the best. substitute it for your chicken

Chicken salad easily.
Egg salad tastes better than deviled eggs, but I'd rather deviled eggs.
Tuna is fine like once a quarter.
