I bought a 1 pound roll recently but never used it. I was either going to make rice dressing or cornbread dressing. How should I use it?

My two favorite ways to use it are - white sausage gravy, or sausage balls. I’m making sausage balls tomorrow, actually. Great holiday food.

You could, you know, use it as breakfast sausage.

We make stuffed, or Mexican, cornbread. Nothing Mexican about it, just browned sausage, sautéed onions and cheese inside cornbread made in a black iron skillet.

Yep. Exactly what I use it for if not just frying it down to have with some over easy eggs, hash browns and toast.

Makes an excellent sausage gravy and one of my wife's favorites over biscuits.

Next time you fire up the smoker throw the whole roll on there. You can thank me later!

Agree with Sea Hoss, roll it in black pepper and smoke it (off the fire). Good on crackers or you can slice it for breakfast or crumble it into your sausage gravy...just plain good!
