Swagat is better imo
Swagat isn’t near what it was since ownership changed. It has improved a bit in the last year, but still not up to its old self. ...
It is probably just the LED lights in your/my refrigerator where one bad light, in the least accessible location, causes all the others to flicker or go out. ...

re: What is Kamala’s IQ?

Posted by ChEgrad on 7/22/24 at 9:39 pm
Well, IQ is a measure of intelligence and intelligence is measured by IQ. We know this because the first letter in IQ is also the first letter in “intelligence.” And Q is the first letter in “quotient.” So we know IQ must mean intelligence quotient. Or ink quill. We can’t really know. We all have IQ...

The Basilica has more mosaics under roof than pretty much anywhere in the world. It is worth a visit and tour. Art museum is free and very nice. Eat some Italian on the hill. My wife and I enjoy Sameem Afghan Restaurant. Enjoy frozen custard at Ted Drewes. ...
LSU fans went from thinking 7/8 wins was a great season under Dinardo, to thinking 10 wins and playing in the SEC Championship was acceptable under Saban, to 11/12 wins and being in contention for a National Title with Les, then back to 10/11 with O, and now a 9/10 win season is seen as fanta...

I’ve only gotten takeaway at Pappy’s Smokehouse probably 7-8 years ago. To the best of my recollection, we enjoyed it, but it took a while to wait in line if I recall. We also ate at Salt and Smoke for dinner once. It is a bit more pretentious and had a good meal there, but I can’t recall if I ...
You have gotten a number of “don’t ever go barefoot” replies. I think this is nonsense - at least for me it was. Mine disappeared and hasn’t come back since I went with zero drop, barefoot style shoes. Feet are a marvel of engineering and modern shoes don’t allow them to function like they are suppo...

Powder post beetle contract?

Posted by ChEgrad on 6/30/24 at 12:15 pm
I was treated for powder post beetles in the crawl space of my pier and beam house a year ago after some fresh activity was discovered. They want $225 to renew the contract, which I guess would cover pretreatment and maybe repair of damage from new infestation. Is it worth it to renew this contr...
Yes. I buy Picanha (sirloin top cap) at Costco. I think it has gone from $5.99 to $6.99 a pound. Have to trim a good bit of fat so the price per pound goes up a bit, but still a good deal when it comes to steak. And it is delicious. ...

I am not an experienced gardener, but have been doing a good bit of research recently and will start one soon. Look into no-till or no-dig gardening. Basically you mow down your garden space and heavily add soil/compost/mulch on top to kill the grass/weeds. Then plant. Maintain periodically with add...
