re: Uncle Earl's closing

Been there a few times in the last few years when they would have my brother-in-law’s band play from 7-9. The beer taps never worked. Very poorly run. They lost lots of money in potential sales because they refused to have beer taps that worked.

I made two whole beets! What a meal this will be

I got 5 small, single bite beets. Better than last spring. Not doing well with beets so far. Need to check my pH perhaps. Tasted good roasted though.

She only needed to go once to see the farce that it is. The Catholic mass is the most boring hour of your week. At least non demoninal has some rhythm, stories and a point. I'd never subject my kids to Catholic mass.

There are good and bad priests. Some give very good, meaningful homilies. Far from boring. Some are boring. Find a priest who does a good job. There are several in the Baton Rouge area that give very good homilies.

Stand, kneel, sit. Rinse and repeat. I went for 24 years. She's probably pissed to go through that BS and I don't blame her.

You went for 24 years and have no understanding of why you stand and kneel? Pretty sad if you ask me.
Should have used ZZZ Accounting. He would have found the fraud with a quickness.

Can someone define "classical" education for me, because when I hear it I think of liberal arts universities they churn our they/thems that have no skills worthy of employment.

Well, a truly classical education would require reading classical literature (from Greek, English, American, and more), studying math, science, and music.

Most modern schools/universities do not do this. If they did, the students would be prepared for the work world.

Because 7 points is more than 3.

Well, 3 points is more than 0.

I’ve seen enough teams go for it on 4th and goal and not make to think that taking the 3 is the better option early in the game. It seems that wasted opportunity for 3 usually plays an important role late in the game.
I very much enjoy their channel. I need to start cooking more of their recipes. Only done a few so far.
At least we have not reached the level of what they do in Chile. I saw these all over driving through the desert.

Why, then, does the NFL keep awarding its biggest game to N.O., tied for the most hosting in the history of the game?

I’ve been to a number of Final Fours. New Orleans is the best place to host one. Everything you need is within walking distance. It is just a very convenient/fun town for the fans.

So is Jay Johnson. He has worked out well. That said, I’m happy we got Kiffin.
You have to eliminate large scale mail in voting, early voting, and require voter ID. This would hurt the Dems more than anything.

I would definitely eat that. I had a deer stew with prunes in Germany and it was awesome. I’d bet the juniper berries and prunes really add to the dish.

France is nice, but if I had unlimited money I’d go to Italy, where the food is fantastic and the people are nicer.

I lived and worked in the south of France and I generally agree with this sentiment. Although I’m not sure the people are nicer. I met many nice people in France.

If I had to live in Europe I would probably take Italy or Spain over France, but I did enjoy living in a small town on the Mediterranean in France. I haven’t been to Spain in 17 years, but it was very pleasant and much, much cheaper than France or Italy.
I’ve bought a whole plate at Bet-R before. Just have to ask.

Is there not one professional journalist with any major news agency that can do this also? Where are they?

The Minneapolis Star Tribune is a mouthpiece for the DFL (democratic-farmer-labor party). They do not investigate any irregularities that affect democrats in their state.

Pretty much true for the national mainstream media.

If you want reporting on this, go to the Powerline Blog website that is run by conservatives from Minnesota.

If we can pull Chambliss and Lacy from an OM team that already won a playoff game…..we 100% got the right guy.

There is no reason, as of now, to believe Chambliss will be granted an extra year of eligibility. He has used his four years. Why do so many think he will get more? The NCAA has no reliable track record to base this on. I would not count on Chambliss.

Certification doesn’t make you a good teacher.

Is this person a poor teacher?

I like Jiffy.

But I really like a recipe we make at home called Virgil’s Cornbread that has corn, jalapeño, cheddar, and cilantro in it. Think it was a recipe on the Food Network if I recall correctly.
