re: Talk me out of Weber Summit Charcoal - ChEgrad
A Summit Charcoal is $2,000. A Komado Joe 24" is $1,400, Primo XL is $1,300, and a BGE XK is $1,200
The Summit comparable to these would be the $1500 version, correct? By the time these are outfitted with comparable accessories aren't they close to the Summit? The $1400 pri...

Talk me out of Weber Summit Charcoal - ChEgrad
and down to 22-inch Weber Performer. Or maybe th 26-inch Weber Kettle. Is the 26-inch too big for regular use for 2-4 people? Is the Summit Charcoal really more expensive than an equivalent ceramic Kamado? Doesn't seem that way to me, but people online complain that it is over-priced....

re: I earned a game ball last night.... - ChEgrad
My son is coming home for Thanksgiving and his streak since graduating will hopefully end, just like yours. He has not seen an LSU victory in person since graduation. Of course he seen us lose to Alabama, but we have also lost to Arkansas at home and Wisconsin in Packer stadium. Should I let h...

re: If Guice declares, are you confident in The rest of the running backs? - ChEgrad
Before this year how many would have had the confidence that Williams would be as good as he has been? Someone always steps up and as someone who watched both Guice and Clyde in high school, I am not too worried. Clyde is vary capable and Brossette has shown flashes. No worries....

re: Anyone else cooking their turkey in a Ronco Rotisserie? - ChEgrad
475 F oven or a Weber kettle is all that I need for great turkey. Dry brine, cook them hot and fast, but don't over cook. Not sure why cooking turkey is generally over-complicated by most. That said, I'm sure the rotisserie works great. I like fried turkey, but it is over-hyped and a great...

re: How thick do you like your gumbo/roux? - ChEgrad
I'm like you for the most part, but I've had gumbo that I most would say were too thin, but they tasted great and I enjoyed them. Flavor is more important. Honestly, I'm generally disappointed with most seafood gumbos. Had many more mediocre seafood gumbos than good ones. Prefer chicken and sa...
Boarder wall is a classic gov't boondoggle that the big gov't Rs just seem to love. We love our big gov't don't we folks?
Now here is an idea I can get behind. We build a wall people can live in and charge them rent to pay for the wall. Trump should be an expert at this....

re: Buying pizza dough directly from Restaurants in Nola - ChEgrad
the dough at TJs is very good
Tried it once when I didn't have time to make my dough in advance. My son wouldn't even eat it. It is not hard to make your own, just takes a slight amount of planning. I prefer a 3-day fermentation in the refrigerator. Plus, it freezes pretty...

re: geauxt's podiatry corner - plantar fasciitis (long, sorry) - ChEgrad
Broke my ankle in med school. Never regained full ROM. On my feet a lot, so I struggled with plantar fasciitis in that foot for years. Tried running shoes, arch support, orthotics, stretching, massage, ice bottle rolling, etc. No avail. Finally threw on some croc's --- no more pain after a we...

re: Trump's approval is by far the worst in seven decades - ChEgrad
With the coverage he gets by the mainstream media, what would you expect poll numbers to be? When "journalists" go on TV and claim the last two quarters GDP growth rates were lower than the growth rates under Obama, what do you expect from low information people? If the real news was reported ac...

re: Why do so many southern areas refer to themselves as americans on ancestry surveys? - ChEgrad
Because southerners don't worry about the ancestry of who they marry. Thus, they aren't a majority of any particular ancestral group. What are you going to answer when you are 10% Irish, 10% Scottish, 10% German, 10% English, and part African and Indian to boot? In the northeast especially, and...

re: Mountain vacation with 4 year old - ChEgrad
Just make sure the hike is difficult enough. When my son was two we did the hike to emerald lake I think. The early part of the trail was very easy and he wanted to be carried. When the trail was difficult and rocky he wanted to walk. Go figure. It should definitely be doable with a 4 year old....
