Nice to Saffron getting a mention.

Sad it will be impossible to get in now.

Saffron is so good. I would bet getting a table Tues-Thurs still not a big deal without much advance.

Might be one of the only people who thought Saffron was good but nothing great. Found a lot of it to just be "let's use an Indian ingredient/spice in place of a Louisiana one" Pretty space though.

Very much so, I guess it’s kinda cool to show respect to one of the first in the vietcajun food.

I've heard so many things about how fantastically good this place is that it almost makes me want to take a trip to Bossier.

ALMOST.

James beard is beyond political and ridiculous. I’ve worked for multiple james beard chefs and while it is an honor to get nominated it’s an overwhelming amount of brown nosing. Lots of chefs or restaurants basically just buy the award.

Who is behind such a strong program in such a weird-arse venue? this guy

Lim is a personal friend and one night, while we were sitting in the bar hammered, I asked him why he didn't move the restaurant or build. His answer was simple and to the point.

"Rent prices."

As I noticed that the dining room was full and people were waiting in the bar for a table, I saw his point.

You’re not the only one especially given their high priced point.

Dallas got one, and I am not a huge fan of those tacos (over priced)

They are really good tacos though....and they are in a high rent area. I've taken several people there and they all say the al pastor and carnitas are the best they've ever had. With that said, I prefer Tacos Mariachi and Taquero on singleton.

Going to go out on a limb and say that Kristen Essig and Michael Stoltzfus new restaurant is almost guaranteed a 'Best New Restaurant' nomination next year.
