Thanks. Assuming Seat Geek is the best platform to check?

Pelican Tickets - January 30

Posted by Tha Herg on 1/25/26 at 9:01 am
I’m hoping to take my two boys to their first Pel’s game this Friday. Tickets on Seat Geek are still ~$150 per seat in the lower bowl and ~$40 in the uppers. Is this the cheapest I can expect or will they decrease as we get closer to gameday?

Windsor Court is my go-to staycation spot. Great service, modern rooms but with a historical feel. Polo Club is a great pre / post diner spot. Central location.
The ONLY silver lining is if this helps him become a one term governor.

The guy that gutted the Southeast Flood Protection Authority to make it a breeding ground for Landry cronyism?
I was surprised at their large supporting ensemble and overall production value. Really polished tight set that was fun and kept the audience engaged throughout. The non -VW song suggestions at the end was great too. Only negative is I didn’t expect them to end at midnight. Babysitter made bank.
Pumped for Vampire Weekend. Really enjoyed their latest album and haven’t seen them in an indoor venue since HOB 2008ish.
These non-conf games are also a common time to bring kids. Your seven and under crowd aren’t shouting with all of their might after tailgating in the heat for six hours.

Looks fantastic. How does the menu work? Is it a set price?

This. Dave’s Killer Bread has relatively clean ingredients and isn’t insanely priced. Kids love it.

Better Than Ezra and St Paul pretty low on that card.
How’s MSY on Thursday? Have a flight arriving around 1:30. Should be business as usual?
Graves is exactly what this state needs. Would be poetic if Graves can unseat Landry after Landry chopped up Graves’ district and sold it for parts.
Lots of great suggestions here. I’ll add Rizzuto’s in Lakeview. Crescent City Steakhouse also has an upstairs room.
Am I the only one that sees Hernandez doing the same thing?
Woodfork has the respect of her peers across the criminal justice system. She also has a long, successful career as a sheriff deputy and NOPD officer. Transparency and putting the right people in the roles is a big focus for her.

Plus, she refuses to call the inmates ‘residents’ like our current sheriff.
Avo used to be my go-to Italian spot but the food and especially the service was sub-par my last two trips. The last visit being about six months ago. Good to read some positive posts about it. Maybe it’s time to give them another shot?
When going into each room, it appeared as if Gemma changed her severed state. For example, she did not remember sitting in the dentist chair after she stepped out of the room. Was she becoming her innie when she stepped into the testing rooms?

Agreed. This is a big get for CWW. I haven’t been since the new owner took over but sounds like it’s been a positive change.

The hotel or the pool? It was being renovated but I know the hotel is open. Not sure on the pool.
The Husky has a $20 burger and old fashioned HH. Both items being quality.

Jazz Fest Cube Release Date?

They should be coming out in the next week or two, right? Any intel?
Depending on the age of the kids, a stop at the Children’s Museum should be on the list. Fun experience that will also bring you inside City Park.

The museum has an attached restaurant, Acorn, that is run by the Brennan’s. Solid food with coffee and (importantly) adult drinks.

Moreno is far far far too liberal for my liking, but at least she works hard. And after meeting with her in person, I do think she will be practical about a lot of things, was very complimentary of Jeff Landry, and was very pro-Troop NOLA.

She will be light years better than the current administration simply by showing up. She will also have a stronger relationship with the city council and many in the local business community. The question is how much she will prioritize getting shite done vs pursuing an ideological agenda that does not address the foundational issues.
Well that’s encouraging. Lots of money sitting on the sideline waiting to see if any other legitimate candidate will enter the race.

Not Walt. New guy Will make a decision in the next few weeks.

New to politics in general or new to the NOLA political scene? Whoever it is better announce soon so he can start to build the finances to face Helena.
I will never understand why people want a city to fail. What a negative way to go through life.
I’ll throw out Vampire Weekend. Besides album one to album two, each album is distinct with different pacing and song structure .

Pretty much every major street is under construction.

A bit of fact checking here. The ‘major streets’ such as Poydras and Canal are completely open. Many streets in the FQ are under construction and those are all expected to be completed by month end. Boh Brothers have been flying through the repairs (which is frustrating we can’t do this more often). Some streets around the dome are closed due to security preparations

You can use this website to see current street construction / closures related to the Super Bowl. LINK
What does this run imply for the NOLA metro area?
