New Orleans makes the list 14 times!

Dallas got one, and I am not a huge fan of those tacos (over priced)

This is always so funny to me. Solid chinese food with one of the best wine selections in the state in one of the most shitty motels in Bossier

It is so awesome. The first time I brought my wife and having to continually reassure her as we walked through the front lobby to get to the restaurant was fun

Strongly disagree.

The rest of the menu is also fantastic.

Big fan.

I like the food, just not the price. The tortillas they make are pretty good though.

Have you been to Tacos La Banqueta, by chance?

I just ate at that Southern National place listed for best new restaurant. I can’t fathom why it made the list.

Good news is it looks like those fools at Turkey and the Wolf are nowhere to be found.

It's funny to see the places that are on the radar for people like the James Beard Foundation and the places that aren't. Like how they are suddenly all over Asheville, NC.

Asheville has been killing it for like a decade now. I'm surprised if they are just getting to it.

And Portland, ME. Lot of nominees from Portland considering it's size.

Great food scene though so I'm not surprised.

Just looked over the list--DAMN.

Who is behind such a strong program in such a weird-arse venue?

Nice to Saffron getting a mention.

Sad it will be impossible to get in now.

LPG, Shaya, Saffron all within 500ft of each other.

Also BRG getting all but shutout. One mention for a female pastry chef, which is totally deserved.

Try them next time you get a hankering for some tacos. There is one in Lakewood and one near downtown.

Traditional style tacos, no thrills.

I'd suggest the one on Live Oak and Carrol.

Tacos -- suadero is killer. Any of their meat is really good
Torta -- any meat you want on i guess french bread. Its awesome
the Alamabre -- sort of their version of fajitas. Also awesome.

I'm still amazed that they receive as much press as they do. The food is good, but it's not "best new restaurant in America" good.

ETA: Glad to see Bread and Circus getting some attention.

I've been meaning to make it to Saffron since they opened and haven't had the chance.

Now it will be an absolute shitshow.
