My parents make their own sauerkraut. They do several hot batches which are incredible on reubens.

This is not approved by my family members but I’ve moved from Corned beef camp to Pastrami in the last few years

I rarely eat one because how shitty I feel after, but I agree that a perfectly executed Reuben is probably the best sandwich.

When done right there absolutely isn't a better sandwich imo.

I love a good Reuben. I actually like them with a good coarse mustard in place of the dressing.

beef tongue or pastrami sandwich from Katz' Deli in Manhattan, the best!

Braunschweiger and swiss on rye with Zatarain's creole mustard

Fried salami stacked high with sharp cheddar and grilled onions

I gotta put a fried shrimp poboy over the reuben, but it ain't very far over.

A reuben just off the grill with a big pile of fries and a half sour pickle is one of my absolute favorite meals.

Open face Reuben at the olde tyme deli in Jackson MS was the best sandwich ever.

Sadly, that place is no more. I stick to a homegrown BLT as the best ever sandwich.

For me I'd have to say a good pastrami sandwich.
In fact I'm waaay..... overdue for making some pastrami here at home.
