Saw this article for an easy way to dispose of grease. You put a foil cup in the sink and let it harden then toss it in the trash. Pretty good idea as I usually just toss it in the shitty part of my yard

Pour in used glass jars, toss in trash when full.

My MIL saves those big coffee cans and uses that to hold the grease. Once a month, she adds them to the trash.

I use 2 bacon grease cans, 1 with a spout and 1 without. The spout gets the good drippings, name brand, known consistent flavor grease only. Those can be used for other indigestibles, like cornbread. The non spout gets everything else from off brand bacon, ground beef, pork, chicken, etc..

When the non spout fills up I grab a funnel and an empty milk jug, either half or full gallon. If needed can set the metal can over a small stove burner just enough to liquefy. Then cap the milk jug and place with trash.

At the country place in middle of nowhere I just empty the can directly onto the burn pile, and there's always a burn pile somewhere on that 10 acres.

I save all my solid fat.

I dump my liquid fat in a big pot/bowl with a bunch of hot water and soap and then dump that down the drain with hot water and additional soap running. Trashy asf but that’s what I do.

Well you can call it trashy, but thats just dumb. Trashy would be throwing it in the actual trash where it belongs.

Toss it over the fence into the neighbors yard or pour it down the storm drain.

I have plastic gallon juice containers I put my old grease in and when I get about 20 gallons worth I'll head to a local service station that has a grease pit and the guy lets me dump my oil in his pit for the recycle guy to come collect every couple months.

Depending on oil prices, he sometimes gets paid a little money for his old oil and sometimes he has to pay to have it removed.

Yeah I do similar.

Jefferson parish accepts it at the dump on David Drive.

I usually have an aluminum can or bottle or the like I can use. Or I just let it solidify in a pan and wipe it out with paper towels into the trash.

I cut the top off a 16 oz beer can and pour the grease in it and let it harden. Then throw away.
