i've seen so much fanfare over this one, but i personally hate the mushy, sloppy donut king cake. maybe if they took it easy on all the sauce and drizzle, it might be better.

Inb4 all the "patriots" rush in and say Rouses.

I'm a liberal and think Rouse's makes one hell of a king cake.

Not on the scale of Randazzo's obviously but the convenience factor of being able to stroll in and grab it without standing in freezing rain for an hour more than makes up for the difference.

I always get Haydel’s to ship mine for family and business clients
Their package includes a little bag of coffee, beads, doubloons, a Mardi Gras cup, a I think a little Mardi Gras magazine or something.
It’s a nice little extra touch for the out of Townes.

honestly that shite shouldnt even be listed. save some money and buy a filled donut it is the same thing. its a travesty that he is listing a donut in the same section as dong phoung, one of the best king cakes available.

Crystal's Wedding makes a hell of a king cake. Can be found at almost every boudin spot in Lafayette and Scott.

Dong Phuong's shipping dates have sold out. I waited too long, but it was barely Mardi Gras season when they were gone.

Friend,

I am by no means an expert on dining at Disney. My list which you referenced is simply the top 10 meals I had on my recent trip.

Tastee’s on Loyola in Kenner has the best king cake I have ever tasted. I eat many king cakes, so my expertise in these matters is much greater than they are for Orlando dining.

Yours,
TulaneLSU

if you mean crystal weddings (in the lafayette area), they were very good many years ago...they were very comparable to keller's and quite a bit cheaper...a few years ago, i ordered one and was very disappointed...they no longer use the danish pastry recipe, so it is a glorified donut now...i ordered chocolate caramel pecan cream cheese, and it had zero caramel or cream cheese, a watery chocolate sauce and a total of 2 pieces of pecan

Maurice’s metairie is not the best, but deserves consideration. It is a fantastic cake.
