Dong Phong while delicious isn’t a traditional king cake. Isn’t it basically a massive croissant rather than a spiral ring?

That's a pretty good list. One of my personal favorites in New Orleans is not as well known, but I've already bought two of them this year -- Tartine Bakery.

The best King Cake is always Manny Randazzo's, and I don't want to hear anything else on the matter.

Added. I'll recategorize if needed. I have not been to HiDo before.
