I had Wendy's breakfast for the first time not long ago. It was surprisingly really good

When you are hungover, nothing beats a red hot microwave burrito from Circle K.

It's the closest thing you'll find to the old Hardee's breakfasts. But their stores are a little hit or miss depending on location. Their biscuits and gravy will cure a hangover.

Exactly. Why is that?
Is it just the way dad used to do it so we bring it with us into adulthood?
I can't speak for him, but I only eat breakfasts on vacation so that is probably what signals it for me.

. Whataburger has amazing biscuits and eggs. I don’t know what the difference is, but the taste is phenomenal.
I think they actually crack a fresh egg for their sandwiches.
They do, as does Micky D's on the McMuffin and Wendy's on their breakfast sandwiches. Which are the only 3 FF places I'll eat. I can do no fake egg..

Back in the 80's, McDonald's served these danishes at breakfast. Vacation was the only time my parents would let us order one, so vacation always makes me think of them. They were served in those square styrofoam containers and they had apple and cinnamon and maybe cream cheese. They were served warm and were incredible, or were to my kid palate.

Sonic breakfast burrito. Hate on sonic all you want, I don't care for much there myself, but those breakfast burritos are awesome.

When we were kids, the only McDonalds breakfast I knew even existed was the meal thing that has the "hot cakes", biscuit, eggs, etc.
What's funny is I don't think I've heard anyone mention a McDonald's hot cake as an adult.. and I certainly haven't eaten one since childhood.

Hardee’s / Carl Jr’s is good when available but all the ones here went bust.
The Sherwood Carl’s Jr. seemed to be relatively busy when it was open.

Not a fan of anything McD, even traveling at bfast, the vibe is just for me. The Whataburger SEC jalapeño cheese biscuit if but a dream, but now carbs are my sworn enemy.
Waffle House is not super fast, but the quality and care are worth the time it takes. Anthony Bourdain and I agree on that, he loved WH.

I think it is a case of the franchisee going broke because the ones at O’Neal, Denham, Port Allen, etc all closing at roughly the same time.
Same thing happened to McAllister’s despite certain locations having lots of business.
