They got this place in Kenner called Flavors that sells DP and Manny Randazzos and Hi-Do so basically the three far flung internet hype places. No line.

They take everyones money online and people drive up and they give you your order and that is sold out already. Then they sell more for daily sales to area local shops. Looks to me like they are running a smart pay in advance model only producing on demand.

Because they are selling out at the price they are at now. And can still sell more at that price. So their price needs to increase another 20% if they are selling out at an already higher price.

I wouldn't stand in a damn 5 minute line to eat a damn king cake much less hour long.. King cake is the most overrated food in Louisiana... If you have seen that post from facebook that says you have to eliminate one food... With crawfish, boudin, kingcake and something else... I always laugh... Anyone who doesn't eliminate king cake has awful taste buds

I've eaten dp's king cakes before they've been "the best". It's still one of the best, but they've been skimpy on cream cheese/fillings while cost has gone up.

i was gifted a Dong Phuong king cake yesterday.
it is quite good and the "cake" part is indeed one of the better. cream cheese icing is ok.
i would not wait in line for one. oak point turtle king cake i got from zupardos over weekend was better inmho.

Randazzos is extremely overrated and so is DP, expand yalls king cake variety.
