No, but then again I don’t know how you people like King Cakes. Yes I’ve had them all. The only one I’d buy again is the Brennan’s Banana’s Foster.

DP routinely loses in king cake tastings

When/where are these held and where can I see these results? Just curious. Personally, I don't care if they come in last in every "tasting". They're my favorite and that's all anyone should worry about. Eat the one you like the most.

Just did one Saturday, based off the votes and amounts of each king cake left out of 12, DP was middle of the pack at best. Over half of it was left while others were gone.

That's fine by me. I just don't get all the crazy hype they got in the last several years, even though I think they're objectively good.

Plain king cakes no matter how highly ranked, still are the most overrated dessert in existence. The pics you posted makes them look dry. The worst filled king cake that has been sitting on a counter for 2 days is still better than a fresh baked plain king cake from the best place, IMO.

This is a garbage take.

Fair enough. Who usually comes out on top in these contests?

Hi-Do was the winner in the most recent one.

I'm not a big king cake fan but I look forward to some Dong every year

I wouldn't (and don't) wait in line, though.

I've never been to the place but we have a connection with a lady here that I hear is related to them. She'll get about a dozen ordered then she makes the run.

@ LNCH...I've never tried Hi-Do but I've heard they're legit.
