Does your town have fast food restaurants?

Moved to a new town last fall. Population of 20,000, but there are no fast food places or chain restaurants other than a ale Pain Quotidien. Not that I mind but I find it odd that that a town this size doesn’t have those types of places.

Why would you need fast food in a small town? There's probably a few good local places to eat.

I live in a town smaller than that and we have 5 fast food restaurant (plus a subway, is that considered fast food?)

I live in a town of about 16k. There are 5 fast food restaurants, if subway qualifies.

I live in a City of 1M and I think we have 3 total drive thru fastfood chains.
We have probably 10-15 fastfood restaurants total(taco bell, Popeyes, mcd, BK)....but they are primarily tied to mall foodcourts, with no drive thru.
2 McDonald's drive thru and I'll assume another somewhere.

I'm calling BS. I feel like every small town has some version of a dollar store(Dollar general, dollar tree, etc.) and a subway.

Just doing a quick Google search and it looks like we have around 20 with a population of around 60k. I would say 1/2 of them are a single chain with multiple locations. 2 Del Tacos, 2 McDonalds, etc.
